Fun in the sun vs annual pass

We're thinking about getting the 'Fun in the sun tickets' for $310/adult (not sure about child price off hand). We like the idea of 30 days access to all the Disney parks, but I'd quite like to avoid paying the parking fee, especially if we only 'pop' in for a short time into a park. Does anyone know whether if we buy an annual pass (premium) for a child, whether or not that will give us the free parking, or does it need to be an adult ticket or indeed all the guests?
We're thinking about doing the same for Universal (power passes for 3 of us and 1 normal annual pass to get free parking).
Has anyone ever done anything like this, or is it just me that's that tight fisted?
Thanks all.

Ian,

Not tight fisted at all;) I can't help with the comparision of WDW annual passes but can with the Universal.I have just done exactly what you are contemplating.

Last week I bought online ,one Universal prefered annual pass (for free parking and discounts) and three annual power passes.I decided to pay the $12 (I think) to have them delivered and they arrived five days later:bounce: :Pinkbounc I think it's a great idea:)

Thanks Karen, it's good to hear other people are like minded. The power passes are great value aren't they, have to watch the black out days though, I think there will be 2 or 3 while we're there in August, but over 28 days that doesn't matter too much.
If we're really clever (and finances allow) we'd get back sometime next year to take advantage of the years access to the parks, we'll have to see about that though....

Ian,

The power pass works out better value than a 2-day ticket even for me who may only use it 2 or three days.If you get to use them for another holiday that would make it outstanding value for money!

Although I nearly bought the FITS pass then bought the 10 day one,if on holiday for a longer period as you are not only would the £12 or so more than the 10 day it cost be worth it,it is an amazing bargain I think.
