I wasn't sure where to put this b/c there isn't a "General" Message board. Or if is there, and I'm just terrible at paying attention?
But, what do you do for Disney that makes it extra fun?
Do you guys do family shirts?
Dress up as characters?
Do you guys play funny secret games?

For example, we are going to the Luau and my daughter is dressing up as Moana, I'm getting my nails done for Disney, but I'm not sure what I really want yet.

Anyways: What are your fun extra little things that you do?

Lol at the dollar bill prank. We just collect pressed pennies and find hidden mickeys. A little scavenger hunt in WDW goes a long way.

Yes also it's fun to just listen because lots of people don't realize how much other people can hear! I'd probably be the parent freaking out ignore my child randomly had a dollar (I'd be checking my purse trying hard to figure out how much I'd lost!)

Silly walk (Monty Python)

Talk in fake accents

Order alcohol at places where it is obviously unavailable ("Dole whip with rum, please") - especially fun when my wife does it pregnant

Sometimes, we just ask the cast members open questions, "What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen here?"

Oooo, love the accent thing b/c we are terrible at them. People will think we are crazy. lol I bet you get some crazy answers from some of the cast members.

For example, we are going to the Luau and my daughter is dressing up as Moana, I'm getting my nails done for Disney, but I'm not sure what I really want yet, and we like to play this game where we just stand there and people run into us. It's super stupid, but when we went last time we found that people were running into us left and right b/c no one watches where they are walking b/c there is so much to see. So my husband and I came up with a point system and whoever had the most people run into them for the day wins. (BTW, no one ever got hurt, they were little bumps, we only did it if people were walking slowly, and people just laughed when it happened. We actually got strangers who bumped into us to play it last time b/c they thought it was funny.) My friend plays a game with her husband where, in line, they try to touch their nose to someone without them noticing. A guy from their line saw this and realized they were playing a game and taught them a new one. When a parent is holding a kid and the kid is facing backwards, just hand the kid a dollar bill and watch the parent freak out when they cant figure out where the money came from. Of course then you can tell the parent you gave it to them.

*Disclaimer* None of these games are meant to be mean, just silly fun. I almost feared posting this b/c I thought someone would get upset and think people were being mean. Between my friend and I no one ever got mad at these games, in fact people thought they were funny and started playing too.

Anyways: What are your fun extra little things that you do?

Call it mean, or silly, or whatever you want, it's obnoxious, and it won't be funny anymore when someone does inevitably get hurt because you're standing there trying to get bumped into, or when the wrong person bumps into you and silliness escalates into something far from that.

Ah! There you are! I was wondering when someone was going to take it wrong. All I'm doing is standing. I don't purposefully go standing in someone's way. They run into me. I don't go running into people. We see someone coming we just chill where we are. Even when we warned people they are so gone in their own little world they never hear us. It's their responsibility to watch where they are going. We just got tired of practically tripping over ourselves and others to move bc people weren't paying attention. In fact, while standing there once I tired to say "watch out" to someone who was walking into me, so I moved, and knocked over someone's kid in what is now HS. He couldn't have been any older than 4. I felt horrible and mad that someone else not paying attention made me hurt a kid. And then another time my husband tried to move and rammed his leg on a chair in Epcot. That was how the game was born. We thought it was better to just chill through it. There were less injuries that way. So, then we just counted points at the end of the day. If people were walking slowly, then nothing ever happened....but when people come barreling through you have no choice but to dodge them and we did. We never just stood there if someone was going crazy. We're not stupid. I wasn't going to get hurt b/c someone wasn't paying attention. This was, like, 10 years ago. So it's all good.

But please, miss the entire point of this thread.

I am with IrsihNYC- I do not like people coming to a complete stop in the flow of people , let alone on purpose. I also would not like someone "touching: me with their nose or any other body. I would think they are being a perv, trying to steal/pick pocket...I am guessing you think photo bombing people is cool too...

Lets hope we don't run into each other, I DOUBT IT WOULD END WELL.

It wasn't on purpose and we don't just stop walking looking for a victim. See above comment. We never did the nose thing b/c I don't like putting my face that close to people. That was my friend. The photo bombing thing is funny depending on the situation. For a nice family picture, no, never. But random picture and they get you in it. I'd make a silly face. And I photo bomb friends. I work too much to go anywhere to photo bomb strangers and haven't been to Disney in 10 years. But if I'm talking a random picture of something and someone happens to be in the picture and they make a funny face, it's not a big deal. I'd laugh.

I understand that I explained myself poorly in my initial post. That's my fault and something I've always been bad at, but you seem like you get easily upset or offended. I don't think the aggressive last sentence of your post was necessary.

Ok, So the point of this thread was to see was neat things families do on their vacation. Do you guys make family shirts? Dress up? Get fancy nails? Wear funny things in your hair? Do you play iSpy games?

So, I deleted that whole section out. I explained it poorly and I don't want drama on a Disney message board. I was just wanting to see what other fun things people do for their Disney trips. This is supposed to be fun.

I'm going to try to decorate our magic bands this time. If I thought I could get my mother interested I'd recommend getting our nails done, but she didn't even want to get them done for my wedding...

I did pick up pins (the trading ones people have on lanyards) and I'm going to decorate my backpack with it. My sister got a Disney cinch bag and I got one for my mom and got them each a pin for their bags as well. I even got an inexpensive cinch bag for our younger sister (she is only 13) and a stitch pin for her and a princess cinch bag for DD, 4, and a princess pin... I'm actually looking forward to it because I got myself a Vera Bradley bag off of eBay for like 18 with shipping (it's a used one but big and it looks new) anyway, I got myself a tinkerbell pin (surprise surprise I'd want Tink) but it's literally the same color as the bag and has a hidden mickey in it. So it's my hidden tink that has a hidden Mickey ;)

And speaking of hidden Mickey's we do look for those and point them out when we see them...

I thought about decorating my magic band, but I suck at that stuff and would hate to ruin it. haha I thought about pin trading but we are too lazy for that.

I'm not really trading pins, just getting a few that I like for bag decorating! And I'm not going all out for this band decorating, I'm going to get glittery nail polish and use that (probably just on the Mickey head part for mine, maybe all over for DD), but really not anything spectacular like what some people post! This is more of a project prior to going then anything else :) Oh, and I'm melting down old crayons that are broken in the Mickey muffin mold I have for DD. We'll see how that works out but I'm hoping that will be a fun pre-trip project as well. Oh, and a count down calendar, DD is 4 so we are doing a count down just to Florida and then we'll do one for a few days leading up to Disney (we are visiting family first). With DD being so young I didn't want to get her confused when we hopped in the car to drive to Florida and then stopped for a few days to see her great grandparents instead of going directly to meet Mickey!
