Fun Disney newspaper article

Great column! Boy have I had THOSE conversations with people before. ::yes:: Thanks for the link and the chuckle! :D

I just emailed Rainbow and told her there is a support group on the net for people like her. ;)

Wow!! Great article!!! You know, it's funny. The first time I went to WDW, I was in college and went down for a seminar in Orlando. Had to go see Mickey--and I was hooked. I called my mom from Space Mountain and said "you have to come here!!" When I got home I had LOADS of pictures and tried to explain the feeling. I couldn't. You just can't explain the Magic to someone who has never been. Every time I got a chance, I went back to WDW (spring break, late honeymoon), but then I got to take my DS. He was 5 the first time we went and we took Grandma. Now she's hooked too!! Planning our third trip with grandma and we can't wait!! People at work tell me "enough already--it's just a MOUSE!! It's not even a MOUSE, it's a guy in a costume!!!" Not in my universe buddy!!! First of all, he is THE MOUSE and second of all . . . .oh, it's not worth it. I pity those who can't or won't experience the Magic!!!!:teeth: :teeth: Long live THE MOUSE and the HOUSE that Walt built!!!

Welcome Rainbow! We all know EXACTLY how you feel about our home away from home. . .

Welcome to the Dis.
A place where you will never have to explain why you are going to Disney yet again. :teeth: :teeth:

Rainbow,
I had to email your article to family and friends! They'll get a chuckle out of it. I also hear "again?" when I tell people I'm going back to Disney World. Those poor unfortunate souls just don't get it! :)

Had to send to friends and family who "get it", then again, maybe I should send to those who don't...

Great article!

LOVED this article and couldn't wait to email it to my best friend who "doesn't get it." She doesn't have to defend her multiple annual trips to the Jersey shore, so I envy her. I only wish I could go to Disney more than every 2-3 years!

I also e-mailed Rainbow:D She's one of us whether she's here or not:earsboy:

Imagine my surprise when I pulled up the link and it's the good old Omaha World Herald! I'm here in Omaha on this lovely snowy day and know EXACTLY how you feel Rainbow!

When I tell people I'm (yet again) going to Disney World or on another Disney cruise, the abuse I get is rediculous!
It is nice to know we all have a place to come and find "others" like us! ;)

Great article!! Good job Rainbow!

Wow! Look at all the Omahans!! I remember reading the article when it was published in the paper and shaking my head (yes) at it the whole way through! I also remember thinking, "does she know about DVC or the Dis?" LOL! I guess so! I always say we are going to Florida now! Almost everyone I know thinks it's a once in a lifetime trip and your kids (like you have to have kids, we went first on our honeymoon) have to be older than 5??! I remember dd crawling back into the stroller in the mornings on her first trip at DW, she couldn't wait to get to the park!:earsgirl:

You should have seen the looks on my kids faces when I was walking around AKL taking pictures of the light fixtures! I'm fascinated by that attention to detail Rainbow talks about....and I love my light fixture photo essay!

People at work tell me "enough already--it's just a MOUSE!! It's not even a MOUSE, it's a guy in a costume!!!"

Blasphemy!

But thanks for making me cringe with embarassment as I was struck with the cold hard slap of reality there for a second. :o
