Well, we had our trip all planned with our 5 and 2 year old boys but now my 12 year old stepbrother is going to join us for a few days. We did chef mickeys on our last visit and we are looking for some other fun ideas. thanks!

Whispering Canyon at WL could be an option. Our Godson was 13 when we went and he enjoyed the interaction with the servers.
He also really liked the Sci-Fi at MGM. The car tables and the cheesey old movie clips cracked him up.

I would second Sci-Fi for a child that age but consider going for desserts as the meals are so-so.

My DD age 11 loved Teppanyaki for dinner.

Also I would highly recommend ESPN Club if he is a sports fan.

Prime Time cafe at Disney/MGM.
Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK.
1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian Resort.
O'Hanas ate the Poly resort.
Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge.

Our DS (now 13) loves the 50's Prime Time Cafe at the Studios.
The food is very good and he likes to play along with the wait staff (a little bit anyway).

Another vote for 50's Prime Time. My son (14) loves it. He also loves the Rainforest Cafe, but doesn't like the character meals anymore.

Another vote here for Sci-Fi. Our 9 year old DS LOVED it! He liked the idea of sitting in the "drivers seat" all by himself and even got a "drivers license" to bring home. He also really enjoyed Rainforest Cafe and 'Ohana.
