I got teary too! I loved how the parents "fainted" when they found out they'd won the contest! And boy, the tea cups sure did go a lot faster back then!

That's a great video! In case anyone is interested, the Barstow family has a lot of other travel videos available to view on the web.

Go to www.archive.org and search for Barstow Travel Adventures. There are 17 other films that Robbins Barstow (the dad) has made. The Dream Trip 1967 video also has some wonderful footage taken at Disneyland.

I really enjoyed their camping films that were taken when the family traveled to 48 states over five summers during the late 50s and early 60s. Some wonderful nostalgia there!
