First off forgive me if there are typos. I am on my iPhone. However, I need to vent and just had the worst experience I have ever had while eating! Ever!!! We are a family of 4.

Myself, DH, DS-7, DS-2. We were sat promptly. After 10 minutes we were greeted by the server. He asked if we were on the dining plan- fine. Asked to see my card- KEPT it!! Which is odd, but honestly, I was tired and thought he gave it back. So it takes an extended amount of time for myself and DH to get our drinks. We had to ask several times for our sons' drinks. Then, we waited to order. And waited and waited and waited. But, we weren't going to let anything ruin vacation.

Finally we get our food, after watching him hold it on a tray for 5-7 minutes having a conversation about types of fish with another table. I ordered 2 sides for my DS-2 because he is very hard to feed, but enjoys asparagus. Those were our of pocket and I don't mind paying for them. When the sides were delivered, I asked for a plate for my child. He picks up his bread plate and tells me "this will work." I tell him I would like a real plate for my child and eventually get it.

Then, we are about 2/3 of the way through dinner and our serve drops a tray of glasses. Glass flies everywhere. And by everywhere I mean all over my husband, myself and my children!!! All over the table! Everywhere!! Honestly, I have never in my life seen glass fly like that! We pulled glass off both of my sons' heads and shirts. He asks if we are ok, I tell him that I didn't think that any of us were cut yet, but I didn't think our food was safe to finish. Both DH and I had an entire lobster tail and all if our sides remaining. He agreed and took everything. Meanwhile, we are stuck standing away from the table for over 20 minutes. No one comes to help us, finish cleaning up all of the glass, everywhere. NOTHING!!

Finally a manager shows up, tells us he is sorry and asks us if we want dessert we say no. Then, the server tells us that we should get the dessert because it is included in our meal plan. At this point I am so livid and my children are still hungry I just tell him to get some dessert to go- fine whatever. So he tells me that he is getting me a 1/4 of crab legs, we tell him no because we are in a hotel room. The manager comes out tells us that our meal will be taken care of. I sent my DH and the boys outside because there is still glass everywhere. And I wait and wait and wait! Over 15 minutes later he comes hands me bags and tells me to wait one minute he has my checks to sign. He had my key to the world card and had already charged my card!! I explain to him that the manager said it was taken care of. He said no that they were taking care of my sides. I tell him I am not paying for food that I didn't get to even eat. He leaves, I go back outside to get my husband, he comes back and says that they will take off one adult meal!!! Meanwhile, I have so much glass in the bottom of my shoes (teva mush Flip flops) I will never get it out and will have throw them away and we found a piece in my sons diaper!! Don't ask me how it got there! I have never seen so much glass fly so far. My DH tells them that we have to leave there and go feed our kids! Not to mention ourselves!!! He also says that he has been pulling glass off himself and his children for over a half hour! I just wish you could have seen us looking like crazy people holding cell phone flash lights over our kids in the middle of the restaurant.

In the end, we didn't pay for anything.
I feel like an accident could have happen to anyone, but the way it was handled was horrible!!!! I am so disappointed!! Just needed to vent.

That is awful! They should have handled it better. Broken glass is very dangerous, especially around food and children! We have reservations there for Christmas Eve but now I am rethinking that after reading your post.

We were trying to decide if we should go to Fultons. So many poor reviews. :confused3Hit Captains Grill. It is our favorite. We will go there instead.

Wow. Just Wow! It doesn't get any worse than that and your were totally correct in asking to have your meal credits refunded. Wait - you shouldn't have even had to ask. They should have taken care of it immediately.

So sorry you had such a terrible experience. I feel really bad for you and your family.

Be sure to contact the restaurant and Levy corporation directly about your experience.

You may not have been dealing with the GM of the restaurant. Any responsible manager would have handled the mess you and your family encountered above and beyond your expectations. I am sure that if the management at Fulton's do not act, Levy will. This is one of their signature restaurants in a high traffic area. They should act to correct the situation, and possibly get you some kind of satisfaction for a horrible experience.

I work for a Restaurant company in New Orleans with one in DL, and management would not be tolerate any of the actions from the server to the floor manager. "heads would roll" in our company had a guest been treated this way. The only way this will not happen to another guest is for you to make it known to the company about your horrible experience.

oh that is so terrible and scary. all that glass, and your children. such a poor experience on their part.

Aww that stinks!! But please don't let it ruin your trip. I remember when I was little it was extremely rare to get bad service anywhere at Disney... But now it's so huge and employs so many more people, the odds are against us!! I miss the old days.

That's absolutely freaking ridiculous. I would have been livid too and probably would have been "that person'' by then.

I agree with the PPs, contact the main company about it and you can certainly contact Disney as well. Check with the concierge and make sure you are correctly charged with those dining credits.

Try not to let it color the rest of your trip though. Relax, set it aside for now and enjoy the time you have left.

I would let both companies know about your experience. The only way to get changes is to let them know. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

Sending you a hug- :grouphug: and I don't just hug anyone. Please have a better day.

Let us know what happens. WE are here for you.

That is totally unexceptable at any restaurant! Hope you have better days ahead. Looks like it can't get much worse! Sending lots of pixiedust: your way! :):):)

That is so sad. I so hope it wont mess up the rest of your trip

oh wow! I hope you are all ok. You should write disney & let them know what happened. I hope you had a better trip after that. I just got back on saturday after being there for a week.

Today is our last day here, and we won't let it ruin our trip. I am just glad that I brought extra shoes!!! Or I would be barefoot right now!!

You should also complain to the Levy Restaurant Group, which operates Fulton's.

Wow that's awful!!!! Yes, as a pp mentioned, you should complain to both companies. The way things were handled was completely unacceptable!!!

Sent from my GalaxyS II

I am appalled at what happened to you! I cannot believe that with such a dangerous situation their response was so poor! There is absolutely no excuse for your treatment! I won't even go into how horrible your service was prior to the glass breaking - that is bad enough - but to have to leave with no food and covered in glass AND have to argue about the payment...just appalling!

We ate at Via Napoli on 10/4 and I knocked over my dessert glass and it cracked and 1 large piece broke; that's it - no little shards. Within less than a minute there was a busboy, our server and the manager at our table. They cleaned everything up - were very concerned that no one was injured and offered to bring me a new dessert. The server even brought new drinks just in case. And this was my fault.

Honestly, the service was so bad I thought there was a hidden camera somewhere!!!!
