and is sinking fast! Being big fans of the place we were looking forward to stopping in and having a few apps and some oysters. We were walk-ins at 4:00 and the place was slooooow to say the least. After requesting an outdoor table we were told there was none available (38 open chairs in an area we overheard her later say was first come first served) she told us to find seats at the bar. Not unusual, but having a 3 and 5 year old with us we must have looked a little puzzled. She replied in WDW this is "no big deal". In our world it is. We are very easy going people
but we do draw the line at our preschoolers dinning at the bar. So we requested a table and were told it would be a 5 min. wait. 25 mins. later after witnessing this hostess speak to her co-workers in a manner not fit for a construction site never mind a vacation eatery we spoke to a different hostess. Shocked that we waited at all she told us that the previous woman didn't pass on the fact that we were waiting at all.
We were seated right away.
The waiter was excelent and took our order quickly (crab bisque, oysters, shrimpand mac and cheese for the children. The bisque was thin to say the least, they show you just how little crab is in it in the bowl before adding the broth dissapointing to say the least. Next came the oysters, the first 5 were good and my poor mother picked the 6th (ROTTEN) now for those of you, (myself included) who have never eaten much less smelled a bad oyster pray you don't. After Mom's little suprise she politely deposited the little guy in a napkin that the waiter could smell upon returning to the table. The manager quickly came over and suggested another round of shellfish
wich we politely declined and his offer of free desert was nice but not in our plans as we still had dinner to eat in a short while. We left hopeful Mom would escape any sickness. All this for $127.00
Sorry this took so long but it used to be one of our favorites and now it is off the list. Perhaps they should raise the Jolly Rodger off the stern on that "boat"
