OK, still looking for best way to get "staples" in our room. We are on the dining plan. I also posted on the resort board, but it seems like you get the most responses on this board.:goodvibes

Deciding whether to use a delivery service (garden Grocer) or just use Fulton's General Store (we are staying at POR) to pick up some items. I was wondering if anyone knew if Fulton's sold all these items and roughly the prices.

Beer (six pack)
Wine (bottle)
water (case)
soda (12 pack)
Juice boxes
Snapple Ice Tea (12 pack)
Ceral Bars

I was also told that there is a Hess station near DTD. Not sure if I want to make the effort to go there my first day though.(will be too excited to get to MK!!:yay:)

we used garden grocer and it was so easy and one more thing not to worry about. it was delivered to the bell services and when we got there they took everything right to our room. i don't know however if they do beer and wine. it has to be cheaper than the little store in the resort and just the ease of having one more thing done before you get there is worth it.

Garden Grocer does do beer and wine, however they have a minimum purchase requirement of $40 which I think doesn't include alcohol, so the OP might have trouble reaching $40 with the non-alcoholic items on her list.

I would do a grocery delivery service or hit the Hess station by DTD. The resort stores do sell beer. We stayed at POFQ in May. I don't think the store sold 6 packs, only individual bottles at a "modest" $5.00 per bottle. YIKES!!

go w/the delivery - just for beer - you pay by the can - if you have a car - stop by the store yourself - but $5/can brings a 6-pack to $30 - where you can get a whole case for that - of good beer - and for the rest of the food - and drinks - it would depend on what you want - the boxed entemann's cookies - it's the same price either way - and the same for chips and pretzels - but for the items that don't have a posted price - you pay more - juice boxes - again not sold as a pack - every little bit helps when you save on some of the groceries -

I don't remember seeing cases of water. Certainly not cases of Snapple. I would get a delivery service. The grocery area of Fulton's is small and double or even triple the price of what you would buy at a regular store.

You can also try Marge at Wegoshop.com She is more of a personal shopper. She goes to the store that you ask her to go to and gets exactly what you want. She charges whatever the items (doesn't have to be just groceries) costs and a fee of $18 or something like that.
