Fulton's Crab House

Can anyone tell me what it is like to eat here? I saw some of the pictures and the place looks really cool and I am thinking of it being the first place me and my GF eat when we get to Disney. How's the food, and is the atmosphere as nice as it looks?

Edited to add, do you think an ADR would be necessary?

Always make ADR's even if you don' t think they're necessary.

I ate at Fultons in '96, I think it was! I remember liking it, but personally, I'd rather go somewhere very "Disney" our first night. We try to do Chef Mickey's our first day, although, this year, we're doing Le Cellier our first night.

That would be our first meal (lunch). Our first dinner is going to be the Luau.

It says it is signautre, but looking at the menu it seems normaly priced (taking into account we are at Disney).

No, Fulton's is not a character meal. I don't think the Luau is either but not sure.

If you love steak and seafood, Fulton's is definitely one to try. It's on my list of favorite Disney restaurants. We eat there every time we go!

There is a phrase we use that I think applies to Fulton's. It misses the mark. Food was very OK. Neither Fulton's, nor the Luau are character meals. The food at the Luau is just very OK, also. I would consider a pass on both of these.

We ate dinner last week at Fulton's. We like Fulton's and we haven't had a bad meal the times we have eaten there. I will say that even when you have ADR's there is usually a long wait. i absolutely love their chocolate creme brulee.

Fulton's is excellent and I highly recommend eating there. DBF and I ate there for dinner on our most recent trip. We had one of the best meals of our trip and by far the best service of our entire trip and we are from New England, so we are good judges of fresh seafood. They were absolutely packed the night we were there and it's a pretty big restaurant, so I do recommend an ADR. We didn't do the luau, so I can't comment on that, but I hope you try Fulton's. Have fun!

We ate at Fulton's last fall and it was TERRIBLE--both the food and the service. Based upon our experience, I can't imagine that it could be very good on any other day.

We ate at Fultons during a trip to DTD in April. For lunch, we just walked in and were seated with no wait. The food was only so-so, not fabulous and not great for the high prices. Soup was cold, that kind of thing. Service was also very un-fabulous. It started out good, but towards the end of our meal when the kids were getting antsy the waitress disappeared. I don't think I'd go back.

I have eaten there everytime I go to DW, and I think it is the best ever
I always have great service and good food.. Yeah the check for DH & I usually hits about $160 but believe me, we eat like we've never seen food before!

Give it a try.. so atleast you can say you've been

For the prices charged (even for Disney) I also find it misses the mark. I think it is closer Capt Jacks. While not exactly bad, it doesn't match up with Flying Fish, BlueZoo etc.

I agree. If the OP's looking for great seafood in a hip, upscale atmosphere, then my suggestion would easily be Todd English's Bluezoo!!

we had this in the spring. I LOVED IT, so did DH.

Fultons is one place we have to eat every time we visit WDW either lunch or dinner. We always make ADR's and my mouth waters when I thinik of eating here. If you pretty much like everything on the menu as the wait staff for suggestions, they are very helpful and I have tried things there that I would have nevered ordered.

We ate lunch at Fulton's on Friday with no ADR. It was ok- I guess we are spoiled by another (non-Disney) seafood restaurant. I ordered the Fulton Seafood Salad- it was rather tasteless. The dressing seemed to be just plain oil. However, it was a refreshing change from the usual hot meal. I would have enjoyed it more if the dressing had a little flavor. The inside of the restaurant was great- I loved the huge windows and dark wood accents.

By now you may have guessed that everyone's taste is different.

We used to love this place back when it was the Empress Lilly and featured the Empress Room on the second level. It was the finest dining available in WDW. Expensive, but well worth it.

After it became Fulton's and no longer operated by WDW we tried it and were less than impressed. It was crowded, noisy, and overpriced. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great and certainly not worth the cost. The service was not up to Disney standards. We're not interested in giving it a second try.
