Fulton's Crab House

We ate there for the first time this past December and we enjoyed our meals. For my money though I think it is very overpriced . I always say you should give every restaurant at WDW a try at least once. We have 7 more to go and we will have tried them all.

We ate there several years ago w/my DSis-in-law, her hubby, and their son. Their son is a very picky eater. He wanted crab claws and they were very accommodating. The food was good. However, I thought it was extremely expensive.

Great service - great price oh I mean $$$$$

We knew that going in though.

Mistakes we made- we ordered scallops for an appitizer- we paid $8 for one scallop. the appitizer was $16 we just had no idea you only got two. next time we would ask exactly what we would be getting.

My husband originally ordered Alaskan king crab and the waiter said they had gotten 2 lb legs in special and would he like them instead. They were not on the menu. This huge platter of legs and about 8 med to large baked /broasted red potatoes came. we didnt ask the price (not on menu) they were $80.

The next morning we got up and I wondered if his meal was really a meal for two people because of the amount of potatoes on the platter. we could have easily have shared it and still been stuffed.

I had gotten the alaskan king claws and I wonder if they were frozen. I should have asked if they were fresh.

These were our mistakes in ordering. But the service was very good. our bill came to $176 for two glasses of wine, two beers, an appitizer, an entree each and one dessert. And that was with the AAA discount.

Were there in December. We won't be going back. We were expecting high prices, but didn't feel the food was par for the price. Also, we were kinda "lost" between large tables all around us, and the waiter seemed a bit put out for our small table of 3.

Food was okay, not great. Many other restaurants at WDW we enjoy so much more.

We thought the food was great and service was too.

FYI...Alaskan King Crab is always frozen. It is frozen right off the boat in Alaska. Unelss you are in the Pacific Northwest, I do would not recommend eating any king crab that claims to be fresh. The show "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery is one of my favorites:)

We go every trip. It's more expensive than it should be, but we know that going in. I think the food there is great. But my favorite part is getting there 1/2 hour early and having a drink at the stone crab lounge.

I had the claws and I believe the waiter told me husband the legs were fresh and they were very good. Regardless the claws seemed a little rubbery -maybe the way they were cooked???

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't be shocked if the legs WERE fresh.

Fultons flys their seafood in, fresh, every day. We've talked to the waiters and most of what they serve is between 24 and 48 hours from coming off the boat. You can see the airbills on the bulletin board just outside the place.

We've eaten dinner there twice, and lunch once. One of the dinners was quite awhile ago (1999), on our honeymoon. The last time we ate there (2004), I felt the food quality had slipped just a tad (maybe the kitchen was having an off night...it was still good, but not AS good as the dinner in '99), though service was still very good. We did, both times at dinner, the "Crab Experience for 2" as our main dish.

We're probably going to return for lunch on our next trip......

If you are a DVC member, I think I saw in the latest publication that they are offering 30% off the meal price?? Lunch only maybe? It just might be a way to try it and not feel so bad in the wallet if dissapointed!

It was horrible! Absolutely the worst meal we had during my December XMas trip! It is not a Disney restaurant so that could be why.

A new season of the Deadlist Catch just began last night on the discovery channel. If you ever wanted to know anything about Alaskan Crab, I recommend watching it.

We love Fultons. But I must admit, part of the reason I love it is b/c we used to go every year when I was growing up in the late 80's / early 90's. It was the Empress Lilly back then and it was an AWESOME restaurant then. I still like it, but it was so much better then. And it was always pricey, but now some of the prices are exorbitant.

Yucky doodle! Dined there this summer. Overpriced and underwhelming. I know twelve other people who were with me that won't go back either.

Okay, how about "absolutely revolting"? My kids say "yucky doodle" when they don't like something! Not one good meal that night. Sigh...
