Full Week at BWV in Standard 1BR...in October...

Has anyone had success at 7 months??

In 2011, I was able to book a standard 1BR for 4 nights in October without a waitlist so I know there's a chance. This time, we want a full week, though. Am I dreaming? We are planning on a Sat-Sat the week AFTER Columbus Day. I will have a back up plan...but that's going to be a different thread.

It is unlikely you will get a standard view for that long a time at 7 months, you might be able to get a garden view 1 bedroom at 7 months.

I will cross my fingers for you. Check the RAT at the 11 month mark....that will give you an idea of what will be left at 7 months. As long as you have a back-up plan; and there is always the wait list.

While anything can happen I honestly give that a next to nil chance of happening. Perhaps a pool/garden view but not a standard view.

Well, even though it is not what I wanted to hear, I appreciate the stiff dose of reality. I started another thread that attempts to spell out my options. Unfortunately, a preferred view for the entire week is not an option, but I could swing one for 5 nights. It would come down to deciding whether or not I want to have a 1BR for an entire week (either in a standard 1BR at BWV or AKV) or whether I want to do a split between a studio (at AKV) and a preferred 1BR at BWV. So many options...

Be aware that at 7 months out for that week in Oct 2015, BWV was gone, meaning everything for all 7 nights. In 2013 and 2014, it was somewhat better in that most everything was gone 5 to 7 nights of the week except the 1BR pool/garden view which was missing only 2 nights, the Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend you want. Probably 2015 has been affected by some rooms being designated out of service for the week because of the BWV refurbishment and thus 2016 may be more like 2013 and 2014, both of which still had problems at 7 months out. For further information, be aware that the AKV Kidani 1BRs, both standard and savanna views, were open for that week at 7 months out in 2015 but everything else at Kidani and Jambo had at least a night or two missing particularly in that first weekend you want, which is among the four highest demand wekends of the year (the other three weekends are, in no particular order, Columbus Day weekend, the weekend in the first part of November with the Wine & Dine race, and marathon weekend in January).
