I'm curious how many of you out there are full-time working moms? This could be a great way for us to share ideas/tips on how to make it work... or just vent!

and I work from home when not meeting with clients in the NY/NJ/CT area (which is about 50% of the time).

This could also be a great networking tool for us!!!

I work P/T as counsel for a large high-tech company. I go in one afternoon a week and then do a total of about 15 hours at home. Everyone thinks this is the "perfect" job, which it is in a lot of ways, but it is still VERY tough juggling it all with a 4 year old and a 5 month old...I keep hanging onto it though b/c the pay is great, the flexibility is what I need, and I have a great boss.

I work full time outside the home and have DS7 and DS4. I work as a safety consultant for an insurance broker. I work with our clients in the development of employee as well as customer safety programs. My clients are all over the country so I travel as well. My last business trip to Orlando I took the boys with me and we turned it into a mom and kids Disney trip for four days after I finished with my meetings.

Hi from the UK.

I am the Finance Manager for a charitable Housing Association and have a 5 year old daughter (in reception class at school). I work 37 hours per week, but we are very family friendly, I get good holidays and work flexi time.

Love my 2 jobs :cloud9:

Is it me or is this thread in the wrong forum??..smjj

I am a pharmacist in a local grocery store and work 38 hours per week. My other job is mothering DS6 and DD2.5.

This thread is not DVC specific and is moving the Community Board.

I work part-time at home for a telemarketing company doing inbound calls as my schedule allows (they have 24 hour availability).

I work full time as an attorney. I have a 3 year old DS. :) I'm lucky in that my job is pretty flexible and I love what I do.

I work full time for a software company. Travel a bit - about once per qtr. And Take care of my two sons, who are now old enough to take care of themselves.( 12 and 15) ..LOL

I teach kindergarten. I'm pretty fortunate to have a couple of months in the summer to be home with my kiddos, but it gets crazy the rest of the year. i have a 4 and 6 year old.

Self-employed part-timer, working at home as a paralegal/proofreader. I have two children, ages 8 and 10 years.

I'm Head Teacher at a large daycare center in the town I live in. My kids come to work with me (ages 9 and 7). I teach preschool, so they are not in the same classroom with me, they are in the school-age class. Right now they just come with me and stay all day there, go on field trips and do lots of fun activities. During the school year, they take the bus to and from the center. It is the best work situation I could have....I love that they are there with me when they are not in school, but that they are not in the same room with me...that would be hard as a mom and a teacher! This has been the situation for 3 years now, and I can't imagine it being any different. At this point, it would be hard for me to work somewhere where I can't check in on my kids and see them when I want.

I work full time, two days a week in the office, and the rest of the hours here at home. I'm an editor for a legal publisher, and 90% of my work involves the computer. My kids are teens and early twenties now, but it has been wonderful, I've worked this mix of home/office since my 13 yr old was an infant. :sunny:

I work 40 hours in an office doing accounts payable and I feel like I work at least that many at home before work and after and on the weekends. Never ending...

I'm a teacher :teacher: and a mom of three  ! It gets very hectic around here during the school year but summers are nice. :thumbsup2

Full time working outside the home single mom with a DD10. I work about 13 miles from the home, M-F 7am-330pm at a well known Children's Hospital doing census verification. Lots of stats and reports. The director of the dept and the supervisor are also single moms so they understand the need to leave and are pretty flexible when it comes to kids. I am planning on returning to school in the next semester to get a specific certificate so I could become a coder. If I can do that, then the possiblity of working from home will be there. And thats what I really want to do. Work full time from home.

I'm a compliance officer at a large brokerage firm on Wall Street. No telecommuting for me. That's the downside. The upside is that I love my job and the people I work with.
