Full time gossip. WTD?

Ok my first day back to work as a sub (Aka I get hours when avaible, usally around 25-30 a week). A coworker of mine coners me while we are on our feild trip and tells me "A little birdy" (term she uses for her gossiping self) and tells me that theres permanate openings comming up. Well I took this into consideration and looked it up tonnight but have yet to find anything. She told me this one other time and about a week later they hired somone to fill another coworkers position (that I wouldnta wanted). So should I drop my boss a email of intrest? How do I word it? We only see my boss around once a month at the center.

Personally I dont' see anything wrong with letting your boss know that you would like to be considered for a permanent position should one come open. For all you know they may think you only want part time.

Just email your boss and say you are very open to full time hours should any positions open up.

Maybe the boss tells this person stuff hoping it will get back to you so you can apply first!

Yea I teach preschoolers on down. Spelling dosent quite involve words longer than 4 letters unless its a name. LOL I know my spelling sucks. I awalys spellcheck important things.

Just shoot the boss an email and tell them that you would be interested if any full time positions open up. I'm glad to see you got some hours at work though, wasn't it a couple of weeks ago you were looking for a job and applying places and not finding anything? Might be the wrong poster, if so I'm sorry!

I thought, from the title, that the job was for a full time gossip, as in a writer for the Sun or National Enquirer.

I'd mention to the boss that you would appreciate it if s/he could let you know if and when any full-time positions become available since you enjoy working there so much.

By all means send the boss an e-mail saying how much you enjoy working there and how interested you'd be in moving into a full time position.

Spell check it and make no mention of the office gossip in it.

I teach 6 weeks to preschool (5 years). The wrong gossip means she should tell susan not liza cause I talk to susan ALOT more. I guess something good happened. I went from 15 hrs this week to 40 next!
