Full Size SUV @ National?

Has anyone ever rented a full-size SUV from National? I just booked on for my summer trip, it says it is a Dodge Durango or similar. It says it seats 8. Anyone have any ideas what the similar vehicles are? Yukon, Tahoe, Sequoia, Pathfinder Armada?

I just want to make sure the SUV that we get is actually Full-Size like the title (and, $150/week more price) say it is. :) I know it's a bit pricy, but we really do need the extra space. We rented a full-size SUV from Budget a few years ago and got a Yukon XL, and liked not having to have suitcases in the backseat! LOL

Thanks!

You can call National's toll free number and they will tell you what vehicles are stocked a MCO.

Might end up having to do that, Gail. But, we'll be going down in a couple weeks, and are renting from National (luxury), so I hope the Full Size SUV aisle is near it so I can take a took.

If I do call the toll free number, do they have an actual list of what is at MCO, or just a general list of systemwide classifications? Thanks!

They actually have a list of vehicles at every airport they rent from. What amazed me is that they read the list to me and were spot on, but, when I spoke with the station manager at MCO (for another matter), she told me they did not have Impalas, funny, that is what we rented.

BTW, when are you going? Staying at OKW?

Actually, we're going next week to WL/VWL and then in July to AKL/BWV. We're planning to go again for NYE, probably stay at BWV (one of these times I will have to book OKW, I'd really like to try it), not sure where we'll rent the car from - last NYE trip we rented from National and paid quite a bit.

Did you have 8 people in your group? We have 8 traveling with us in March and are trying to find a way for us to all get around together with out paying lots of $$$$$$. Currently we have one van and one mid size car. We thought about a full size van or suv but are worried we won't have enough room for all the luggage. Don't like the idea od being in 2 different cars for a family trip.:( But not willing to spend $300 more just to be in one van.
Any ideas?

Yes, since you are going to have two vehicles anyway, why not book to EA reservations? Or, two full size reservations. Seems to be this would be less expensive. Another option, Alamo has full sized vans.

We also have a big group going in April. We have four adults and two kids (both need to be in car seats). Thought about getting one suv or van, but afraid the luggage won't fit.

Right now we are planning on two cars, one with my wife, two kids and myself. The other with the in-laws and the luggage.

The down fall is anytime we go anywhere we need to take both cars.

Know that I rambled on....the question is...Will we all fit in one van or suv?

I own a Durango. It is considered a mid-sized SUV. (not teeny...not huge) With the extra back seat, you can seat 8 but there won't be alot of room for luggage.

We had reserved an SUV from National last January, but when we arrived there were none on the lot except for a Tahoe parked off to the side with a few other types of cars that were locked. They ended up giving this to us but I'm not sure whether it was considered an SUV rental or "special" of some sort.

Actually, a Tahoe would be great. :) I really like the Tahoe/Yukon. I do, though, hope for a Sequoia or Land Cruiser. ;)
