I've read that if we are staying more than 7 nights we get full housekeeping at 4 days. Does anyone know if this is always the 4th day? Can we request a specific day? If we are checking in on Friday and checking out on Sunday I would prefer to have the housekeeping mid trip, which would be Wednesday.

Thanks

We never stay more than a few days at a time but I believe the schedule of cleaning is trash daily, towels replaced on day 4 and full housekeeping on day 7.

You can request a change of day, but most people's experience is it gets messed up. Not recommended.

From the DVC website:
"For stays of 8 or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day 4 and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 8, regardless of whether you're staying on a Member-discounted cash reservation, Vacation Points reservation, or a combination of both. This cycle repeats for stays longer than 8 days."

"For all stays regardless of the length of the stay, daily trash removal will be provided."

Note that your check-in day is considered day 1, so in your case (checking in on Friday) you would normally get full cleaning on Monday and trash & towel on Friday.

Although that's the official policy, things have been different during the pandemic. Based on reports on the boards here, daily trash service is inconsistent at best. I've heard the same for full-cleaning service as well as trash & towel. It seems to be driven by lack of adequate housekeeping staff numbers and shows no sign of improving in the near future.

You may want to ask the front desk when you check in - to see how they're currently handling housekeeping. Don't call the front desk (even from your room) because you'll get connected to a call center person who may not know the real situation at your resort.

Just stayed 7 nights at Saratoga Springs and never got full room service once. We couldn’t even get toilet paper or bath towels. Wound up stealing tp from the artist pallet bathroom and towels from the pool. Front desk and housekeeping didn’t answer at all. Bartender at the turf club contacted a manager for us. 3 hours later we had toilet paper. Crappy service all around.

wow, just wanted to say you only get 1 full cleaning on reservations for 8 nights or more. But you should’ve gotten at least a towel/replenish service on your 4th day counting from checkin Day. We’ve been pretty lucky when calling housekeeping to get replenished items.

We rent dvc points often so know the 4 day deal. This was something we’ve never experienced. The lack of toilet paper set me over the edge. We tried contacting the front desk and housekeeping 10-15 times but it went straight to voicemail every time. While I was out gathering necessities a relative went to the front desk to complain and they told her “services have been lackluster due to the pandemic” (no lie). I sent an email to Disney about the awful service and to their credit they contacted me within 12 hours.
