Fuel Rods

With the new TSA rules ,do the Fuel Rods stay in checked bags or are they now in carry-on? Thanks so much for any insight.

I have NEVER not had it in my carryon. Just went to Disney a few months ago and leaving in 2 weeks.
In my carryon.

We were there in March and Spirit Air made us put them in checked bags . So now with new rules Im really confused.

I fly United. Have TSA.

Never in checked bags. Some international airlines don't even want them in.a bin bag. They insist batteries go in your personal item.

Yes, as far as I know it's no items with rechargeable batteries are allowed in checked luggage - you must keep them in your carry-on.

This seems backwards.
Airlines have long banned them from checked luggage.
The TSA finally just make it a rule.
So makes no sense that Spririt would force you to put them in checked luggage...
