We've been noticing over the years that the variety of fudge in the confectionery has been getting smaller and smaller. There had been maybe 6-8 different varieties, some sort of strange, but a lot to choose from. Slowly that starting to be reduced and in November there was 2 or at most 3, and all chocolate base (plain, nuts, and maybe caramel).
My orders for last weekends solo trip were to bring some home for DW. I was shocked to see the cases all around MK had no fudge at all. My guess is that fudge is both a higher cost and a longer prep time item. And even though a piece was $5, it was no longer making the profits that dipped marshmallows are. Sad to see, fudge has been a staple in the confectionery since park opening, but alas no more.
