FtW here we come.......in 2026.....we hope!

Well, we got our package booked, this time for January 2026 in the Cabins. We'll be driving cross country rather than towing.

Keep us in your prayers though, nDH broke his back and we are being optimistic and having faith that he will be completely healed and ready to go. Making the reservation is part of our 'stepping forward in faith'.

As far as towing in future years, that is in God's hands. We had to cancel our Yellowstone trip for this year. Hope to go later in 2026.

Planning is good. It gives you a goal to try to hit. But with DH being a nDH, I'm not sure how much of a goal a cross country drive to WDW really is. Either way, I hope his recovery goes well and you make the drive.

For us it seems 'hope springs eternal' is our current mode so we're carrying on as if nDH will be 'all systems go' in time. Obvs his recovery comes first so if he's not fully healed we'll cancel WDW.

We were scheduled to leave this May for YNP & Custer, obvs I've cancelled that. But we plan to 'port' that trip over to 2026 as soon as ressies start opening up there in June.

Our Jan WDW dates are based on Value Seasons and the weather. We do much better in the (possibly) cold weather of the Jan Value than in the sweltering humidity of Summer Value. Of course, we don't know the exact dates of 2026 Jan Value, but I've estimated and can hopefully adjust if needed.

We're lucky in that all the places (including WDW) we'll reserve have really great cancellation policies, but Good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, we'll roll out as planned for both trips.
