Does anyone have any advice on getting a site in the 1500 loop in October? We have a pop up and small kids, and we would like to be close to the pool.

How busy is the Fort in the fall? Is it pretty empty to the point that I will not have much problem requesting a site in the 1500's?

Thanks!

Have you tried to make a reservation yet. Oct is one of Disneys slower months. It only really starts picking up around Hallowwen. you can request 1500

Well our trip is not until 2013 so it's a ways off, but I am just curious how likely it is to get our request filled is all. And how to go about doing it....

At the time of your reservation, make the request. Its likely not going to be an issue, but they will tell you they make "no assurances". They'll note your preference on the reservation.

To up your chances, on the day of your arrival (early as possible) call the FW front desk (not the reservation line) - but that time, central reservations transfers your data to the front desk.

You can than add an additional note to your reservation with the front desk CMs - they'll still tell you that they can't assure you of the request.

By the time you get there, you should get what you wanted - occasionally i have had to wait an extra hour for someone to depart; but that was rare.

I'm sorry I can't answer a Disney Question for 2 years from now. Disney changes their policies all the time. I can tell you this make your reservations as soon as you can to lock in that rate. you may go throw 7 price changes before then

Fall and spring weekends (in on friday out on sunday) are full at the fort. The best way to get 1500 IMO is to check in on a weekday.

as others said request 1500 in your ressie. When you actually check in if not assigned 1500 then ask the CM checking you in if one is available. Be polite but not pushy. If available the CM will transfer you.

I asked for 1500 in april and got 2000 (1500 full) and it was still wonderful. There is a shortcut through 900 to the Meadow TP from 2000 so its not bad at all.
