Food at Trail's End and Crocketts is yummy and relatively inexpensive in terms of WDW prices.
Crocketts does pizza in the evenings--yummy.
Trail's end--we did a buffet there and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy it was--it is your fried chicken, roast beef fare--with salad bar, soup, side dishes and such--apple cobbler type desserts...kind of reminded me of a Ryan's or Quincy's (though no steak or anything like that)--it tasted a bit better than those establishments though. I don't eat fried foods or red meat and enjoyed the food--can't remember what I had though--just that I was able to eat well. I don't believe they have a separate menu. I think it is open for Breakfast, lunch, and Dinner. I did see a case that had pastries and cookies and stuff--so you might be able to pick up a quick snack or breakfast bite without the buffet since those items are sold a la carte.
You'll enjoy it--it is nice for a quicky meal without having to venture off of the campgrounds.
You can also take the launch to Wilderness Lodge--it is the first stop in the mornings on the way to MK--but in the evenings since people are coming to Hoop Dee do--I think the route reverses and the launch stops at WL on the way back from MK--so for dinner--you would have to wait until the 2nd stop. Not sure if you can take a direct bus or not. Would be worth taking the launch to Whispering Canyon--that was a fun place to eat. They have an all you can eat skillet or you can order off of the menu. We stayed there during Frances though--and service was limited to the skillet, so I am not familiar with the menu.
