Ft.Wilderness cabin parking?

We have 3 children in wheelchairs. We have been to the campground but never stayed in the cabins. Can we park at the cabin? Also can we request a cabin near the boat? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, you can park at the cabins and you can request whatever area is closest to the boat. You might want to hop over to the Disabilities forum and I'm sure there will lots of suggestions for how to make the stay easier.

I think the cabin loops are the farthest ones from the boat launch. Also, you might want to check with Disney to see if any of the cabins have ramps - the one we stayed in several years ago only had steps to get into it.

You can park right outside your cabin, there's a little "driveway". There are handicap accessible cabins with ramps and roll-in showers. If you go over to allears.net and look under the accommodations section, you can find photos of the accessible cabin.

The PP is correct, the cabins are very far from the boat launch, so you'll have to take a bus. The buses are also accessible but I don't know if you will be permitted to take 3 wheelchairs on at the same time. You may have to wait for a second bus. The boat won't be a problem.

Didn't think about that - I think it's two wheelchairs on one bus. That's not going to work with this situation at any Disney resort. OP - please go over to the Disabilities forum for advice.
