Ft. Wilderness activities

What are the activities available at Ft. Wilderness for kids? Biking, horseback, etc? We are thinking of heading over there from Chef Mickey's (read that that's one of the only trans from CR to Ft Wild), with kids 15, 13,12,9,6....to enjoy recreational activities and then eat at their Buffeteria, that I also read was a great value. Any feedback?

Hello California Mom,

Check out the Fort Wilderness Board too. FW has horseback riding, pony rides, petty zoo, campfire w/ Chip n Dale, Nightly Disney movies, Trails End Restaurant, Hoop De Doo Revue and I am sure something else that I am not thinking of. It is a great place! Almost everything is free except horseback riding, pony rides and bike rental.

Take the boat over from the Contemporary. Yes there are many activities, some are daytime only and others are evening only. Even those activities with fees are pretty reasonable.

Also check out the budget board, for "free movies" they have a campfire movie program there, very cool.
