i'll be heading up to disney's POR from ft lauderdale on a sunday using the fla. turnpike and probably exiting at 417 to continue on. my ? is.. is there somewhere along the way or on 417 that we can make a fast stop for some beer, soda and munchies? also, has anyone ever done this ride and approx. how long do you think it'll take. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately there is no connection from Florida's Turnpike onto TOLL 417. Florida's Turnpike Enterprise has this in their long-range plans but as of now the 417 goes right over the Turnpike but you can't get on it. Instead you'll want to exit onto the Osceola Parkway, a 4-lane divided toll road that accepts Sunpass, EPASS and OPASS. This road has cross streets and traffic lights, except for the tolled section. At the intersections you'll find convenience stores and shopping centers. There are plenty of places to buy snacks and drinks. As you head west eventually the Osceola Parkway crosses I-4 and goes directly into WDW where you can follow the signs to your resort.

Total driving time is about 3 hours.

We always use the Osceola Parkway from the turnpike. There is a Walmart right after you get off the turnpike. I *think* that it's a Super Walmart. Otherwise there are also a bunch of gas stations/convenience stores right there as well.
