Why do stores use the space beside the handicapped parking spot that is for ramp access to park the carts? It is so frustrating to go back to the car and find you can't get into your car because the area is full of carts.
And don't get me on people with handicapped placards that park in the ramp access are if there is no real handicap spot available.:mad::mad::mad:

::hugs::
We've had the same frustrations.

Preach it!!! I would call the store management and let them know, they are not thinking about how this effects there shoppers ( or at least I hope not, because if they have and still do then thats even worse).

I've never seen the stores place them there but I've seen LOTS of people put them there instead of walking them to the corral. :mad:

To me it's not too bad to come back to my car and see them there. I can move them to get to my car. But if they're there in the cross-hatch area that means I can't park in the space since I can't get my wheelchair out of the car.

I love that my local mall has started putting up signs between the handicapped parking signs that say. NO PARKING BETWEEN SPACES...or something like that.

Definitely talk to store management. They might not be aware one of the employees is doing this. I've never seen a store do this, but have seen plenty of shoppers do it.
What I see alot is snow being plowed and piled into the handicapped spaces.

I have had that happened to me before:mad:. I was not able to get inside of my car, and then they wanted to get all mad when I said that they needed to move as they were not "legally parked". They need to park in a regular space just like the rest of us or wait for one to become available. In my state, they have started to fine people doing it, the fine is a minimum of $500!!! :woohoo:

I don't need a handicap spot these days, but whenever I see carts in the ramp access area of a handicap spot I move them. Or if there are a bunch there when I go inside the store I tell someone about them. If I see someone parked where they ought not to be I report it.
It pisses me off to see someone w/out a placard and who appears able-bodied using something meatn to alleviate someone else's difficulties!

One thing I've noticed with all the snow we have had is they like to pile the snow in the handicapped parking spots!! We have a large vehicle and need every bit of the parking space for it. I mean whole spaces have been taken up with snow!!!

Oh - We park in the ramp access spots with our truck because my DH always drives and he brings my chair around to me at my door. So our vehicle may not look like it - but it is used in a similar way.
