Frustrating!

Here I am dancing away with the Disers in Snow White's forest and for some reason I can't type a message! So for those of you who were there--I wasn't being stuck up or anything, I just had "laryngitis"!


Edit: Ah! Finally got it back. Wonder what that was all about? Ever happen to anyone else?

It has been happening all day! I finally figured out a solution.

If it happens to you, click on the world globe and then after you leave the place you are, click it again to go back. This has solved the problem for me.

It has been happening all day today. You can't talk, you usually have to log off and log back on to fix it.

I ended up clicking on the globe, but didn't actually go anywhere else. Just clicked it again to get back to the same room and it was fixed. Didn't want to have to leave--was having too much fun dancing!

I also ran into this problem and found it was happening most often in private rooms.

The solution I found rather than logging off was to go to another public area such as town square then back to the room and that seemed to cure it.

I too had the problem off and on. So before I would go into another room I would type, my arrow does not always work so sometimes I am unable to speak. Sorry. That way people would know it was a technical thingy instead of me be rude or inconsiderate.

I wasn't there, but it happened to me yesterday as well. I also believe others made mention of the same thing. Must be some sort of bug. I could message someone, but couldn't type in the main frame. Odd!

We had it happen in the private rooms if you used the teleporter. To fix it, you just had the leave the room and come back through the doorway. I mentioned it VMK_Annie who stopped by the room I was in, and she said that it had been reported already.

LOL This is so funny, because it seemed like this problem was happening all around me yesterday and the day before! And to think that I thought it was because of me! Nice to see it was just a bug in the game.

It happened to me yesterday & again today. Leaving the room via icon or any other method didn't always fix it. Sometimes I had to log off & back in again.

You know, these bugs are really getting annoying! I used to work at testing software & Websites - there's no way this should be out of Beta! I'm still having trading problems too. It seems to me they've "bitten off way more than they can chew."

It was fun wasn't it? I was having problems too, but mine was just very slow. Maybe it was all the dancing slowing us down. I posted a screen shot on the screen shot thread.

That happened to me a few times yesterday. Once was when I was playing a trivia game..I missed two questions because of it!

That's as bad as when it told me the other night that I was typing too fast!What! I couldn't believe it. It actually made me wait like you have to do after using one of your magic pins.

here is a way

as already said it is because of entering through teleporter (unless you didn't then i don't know) you can either enter the room again or ask to trade (learnt from someone)

Oh.... I did enter through teleporter when I was playing the trivia game and could no longer type. Thanks for the heads up!

It isn't limited to using the teleporters. Each time it has happened I had not been using teleporters at all. It was happening in regular vmk rooms - not guest rooms - and I use the globe icon to move between rooms or I walk.

Not only did I get "laryngitis", but when Piratesmate and I tried to trade last night, we couldn't get the popup to work. We didn't get it to work until we went into one of my rooms.

I found that going to a public room can "cure" the muteness if you're in a private room. But sometimes I have to leave and return a few times. Weird.
