Frustrating situation with codes

For the last 5 years I have been getting a postcard with a special offer for free dining. The problem is, they keep sending it to my address with the names of two people I went to WDW with once. They were just last minute additions to my solo trip and haven't been back (or want to go back) since. I'm the Disney enthusiast and I'm about to go back to WDW in July for my tenth visit with my family. I'm hoping once I call Disney to tell them to take these names out of the system under my address, that I don't jinx myself and not even get a postcard at all to my address ever again. It can't be that Disney isn't picking my name because they know I come every year. They still see that this ADDRESS has a yearly Disney tripper attached to it.

I just hate to see these two people get discounts from Disney with my address on it especially since I can no longer stand to be around these people anymore. I'm like, darn it, I can't even win AT THIS?

It would be great if they would send a postcard with free dining to ME sometime. I'm just saying.

Try calling and using it. I got one, a couple of years ago,to my address in my mothers name. I called and just said "I received a pincode in the mail I would like to apply to my reservation". The CM asked for the code and never asked about who it was sent to etc... Maybe you'll get lucky???

I wanted to use it but couldn't this year because the cutoff date is July 3. We aren't booked until July 15-19 and can't go any earlier because of previous committments. The last time I got one (in another name, same address) it was for the week after I was going in December 2008 and try as I did, I couldn't talk the CM into letting me use it for the week I was going.

They can never be flexible on the dates of the offer.

They can sometimes it seems - let you use one sent to YOUR address in another name.
