I booked a King suite for Jan, I know most of them are not club level.I called just to ask and they said they have 2 CLUB level King suites. No one can tell me the cost, how to book, who I have to call etc..I have called the hotel directly, Loews Hotels, and the Universal resort number...They all tell me the same thing.."We have 2 that are club level, not sure how they are allocated or how to book "..HOW can they not know how to book them or what the rate is?..ugh

that is why i will not stay at RPR again until they change their policy.

i have tried for years to get a king suite on the club level with no luck.

we are loews plat. level and we can have a king suite on a regular floor or a regular room on

the club level but CAN NOT have a king suite on the club level.

you can have club access added to a king suite so why can you not have a

king suite on the club level???

i was also told one of the king suites was converted to a kid's suite but

no one can tell me for sure.

This is very interesting. I know there are two suites as we passed them in the hallway. One was called the Bali Suite (facing the pool) - it had double doors. Not sure if this is an upgrade from a basic suite? I was hoping to book one for one of our upcoming trips but it sounds like that might be easier said than done!

So can you have club access added to a King Suite? and how would you do that?

If it had double doors it is a Presidential Suite or the Hospitality Suite.

op, it could be that the king suites are already booked.

i booked my king suite 10 months out.

you can have club access added to a king suite. we had king suite 3600 on

the 6th floor tower 3 and they gave us an access card to get to the club

lounge on the 7th floor.

we were shown a hospitality suite on the 6th floor - it had double doors - very

nice! I think the Pres. suite is on the club floor.

Yep our first stay at RPR was on the Club Level and we were directly across from the Presidential Suite. We were told Ellen Degeneres was staying there since she was filming her show at CityWalk.

Do not think you can get your Loews First upgrade to a King Suite on club level, only to king suite on any other floor.
1 of the king suites is 3700 same as other floors first room on your right. We had Club on our room also 3600, i know there was others had Club as low as level 4.

it is not free, you pay for it.
it can be added to your room if club is not over booked.

A few years back it was $100 a night + taxes for the club add on.

if you go during a low period, there might be a sign on the counter that states, want to upgrade to club, ask when you check in.
additional charge will be $xxx.xx per night stay.

Awesome..Thanks for the answers..I already have a King Suite booked.Going to ask about adding Club access to it..Thanks!

I know it isn't free :upsidedow,I was just curious about how I would do it and the cost..

What are the perks associated with club level?

food and booze basically........

the tm's at the club lounge can make ressies for you, obtain info that you can not find, or try to answer your questions.

for example, one morning i decided to take in a movie at city walk for that afternoon. i asked the TM if they could find out the movies and times they were showing that day.

they gave me the info i needed and i was very grateful for their assistance.

if you are on club level, you can read the daily papers that are in the lounge, check out cd's to listen to in your room, get snacks, food at the time offerings, get water bottles, watch tv in their lounge, etc.

i am on platinum level for loews so i don't need to stay at club level for some of the amenities.
i do get the morning paper and turn down service nightly, and the water bottles.
and do get $100 credit for food and beverage while at the hotel.

But,

the concierge desk in the lobby at all of the 3 hotel lobbies will do that also for any guest in the building.

i usually have that group of tm's handle my plane check in for me and print out my confirmation boarding pass.

I know it isn't free :upsidedow,I was just curious about how I would do it and the cost..

sometimes the hotel might be overbooked.
it would be easier to allow a guest to upgrade to club for an additional nightly fee then to turn away guests.

if you wanted to upgrade, and did, the hotel in turn could use the standard room you are no longer taking.

they can fill the standard rooms easier than the higher priced rooms.

i used to say that in the high holiday and busy periods of the year it was more difficult to upgrade at a cheaper price.
i don't think so anymore.
i remember a couple of years ago i was upgraded for a nightly fee to club so my standard pool view could be used for another guest.

i know i stated before that the busy season is harder to get the upgrades but want to correct that now.

to answer your other question, if you see a sign on the check in counter about upgrading to club, that is the one way i am aware of they have openings that have not and will not be taken.

about 5 years back hrh at it for $50 a night for a guest to upgrade.
a couple of years back the cost was $100 per night.
that amount can fluxuate.

if you do not see a sign advertising a guest can upgrade their stay, ask the TM when you check in.

if you really want club, tell the TM to make note on your file that you are willing to upgrade anytime during your stay.

i did that once at hrh.
had a pool view for 2 nights and then upgraded for the next 3 nights.

when i book a deluxe or king suite, i don't try for the upgrade to club as it usually is a standard room.

i like the lay out of the king suite the best and won't give it up for CL.

just got back from PB and added club at check-in for 50.00

it was definately worth it! the food offerings were the best we

have seen in many stays.
