Beyond frustrated and upset right now. We have 30 points which we are unable to sell so hubby and I wanted to look into doing 2 nights at a local hotel (within 2 hours away) there is NOTHING! The only ones are week-long. I am not happy with RCI. I think interval had more selection, there isn't even anythng in the city! Ugh. so, our 30 points are going to waste. darn it.:mad::mad:

Did you try the Concierge Collection?

I don't think Interval offered any partial weeks, only full weeks. Didn't the partial week exchange start when DVC switched back to RCI? Other then the concierge/Buena Vista collections, of course.

No, Interval offered nightly also. I had picked out a couple of spots we might like to use when traveling prior to the switch to RCI. Now, not so much of interest for us either. :sad2:

I don't recall Interval having a large number of properties in the Disney approved collection with nightly avialability. RCI has a lot more - varies by region, but definitely more than Interval offered.

And I'm with others who have implied we could be much more helpful to the OP if we knew what approximate area(s) they are looking at.

However more doesn't necessarily mean better if nothing is appealing or in the area's you most want to go.

I haven't counted the number of options available for nightly stays with RCI but there was "more" for me with Interval.

As expected with this program. Some resorts don't do shorter stays and few resorts are available at 45 days out or less. You could add points to it and do an RCI deposit or try to use the CC. Where/when were you looking for?

II never had nightly stays. They had a program they developed specifically for DVC with 3/4 night stays using excess inventory. It was likewise for lower demand and short notice options. I agree with II had better options, mostly due to Marriott. However DVC does fit in better with RCI's system.

That's correct - nightly was not correct - it was short stays.
