Hi all,
If I want to purchase APs with the DVC discount and use my Give A Day vouchers to further reduce their cost, can I purchase the APs before the price increase and have the GAD value refunded upon activating them at the park?

Also, will the AP activate on the day we arrive on our trip in Nov. or will they begin tomorrow if I purchase ahead?

Thanks a lot!

I am not sure about the Give a day, get a day vouchers being applied to the cost of the annual pass (we used ours to get the trading pins) but I do know that you can purchase your passes now and then activate them when you get there. We had our vouchers for the passes mailed to us and then redeemed them on the first day of our trip. I paid a fee to have them mailed, but I believe that you can leave them at will call. We purchased in August for a trip the next April and it made me nervous thinking about them hanging out in will call for that long. Hope that helps.

Disney does not mail out active APs. You will either have to pay to have exchange vouchers mailed or select will call. You will then have to go to a guest relations or theme park ticket window to get your AP. The expirartion date of the AP will be based on the date when you do the exchange for the actual AP.

:lmao:

They aren't literally sitting in will call, you know. It's an electronic number in the system; you can pick them up at any ticket booth.

I know but as often as my computer crashes and freezes up I like to have my grubby little hands on the PAPER. I am one of those last holdouts... I get computer advice from my 12 year old...:rotfl2:

I am in a similar boat as you and understand that the GAD voucher can only be redeemed for a credit or fp's IN PERSON.
I already had purchased AP vouchers last summer (2009) for our trip in October this year (2010), before we heard of GAD so now I will sit on those vouchers until late 2011/2012 and purchase AP's in October with the increase.
Basically 1400 bucks with 2 adults, 2 kids and the TIW card. Our October credit card bill will be scary for sure!!

Instead of getting a discount, why not trade them in for an instant fast pass for the day. We were able to get 5 fast passes for each day we had a give a day vocher. It was golden since it was spring break. Four of us volunteered and we got Fast Passes for four days straight.
