frustrated making ADR's!

We are staying at Pop for an extended weekend trip. We booked with the Free Dining package. I called at 7 this morning and got everything we wanted for our party of nine, including the times we wanted. I dont think our choices are the most popular, except for Chef Mickeys. Maybe thats why we didnt have any problems.
9/4 only using counter service
9/5 Chefs De France 5:00
9/6 Crystal Palace breakfast 8:15 and
Chefy Mickeys 5:00
9/7 Mama Melrose 5:55

Well that's kinda the point of the free dining offer- get guests to stay onsite.

Been there done that. All I can say is thank God I am going for the that length of time that I am or I wouldn't have gotten what I wanted. And they all came at the end of my trip.

We are staying at Pop Century, and yes, we have the free DDP.

I did call back again and was still not able to get what I wanted. I will keep trying every few days, but if we have to keep what we got, it's not really that bad. I like 1900 PF, it will be fine for dinner before MNSSHP, and we are still getting to do Chef Mickey's, just not the night we wanted. 'ohana would have been nice, but it's okay if we miss it. It's just a short girls weekend, 3 nights, so there weren't a lot of chances to get other times if we couldn't get the day we wanted.

I did tell her we are celebrating our 10yr anniversary and my 40th birthday while there. Both days fall on days we are there.

I booked Boma for Dinner and Breakfast, Ohana for Dinner, Le Cellier for Dinner and Crystal Palace for Breakfast.

Wow, y'all are making me nervous!! My 90-day opens up in a week. I've got a few "popular" choices on my list, so I've got my fingers crossed that we'll be able to get what we want. I have an "alternate" choice for each day, but unfortunately some of those alternate choices are equally tough to get into. But I guess if I don't get my choices, that just means I get the "thrill of the chase" for the next 90 days as I obsessively check the ADR cancel/exchange/wanted thread and call daily.

Here's hopin'! I hope everyone else is able to get what they want as well. It's like a battle zone this year with the 90 day ADRs!

(by the way, we'll be at POFQ with FDP. Originally were booked 40% off at WL with paid DP, but switched it last week to save money)

OP, sorry you had such a bad time with it. My only recommendation is to call back and ask to modify your reservations...I've had remarkably good luck doing that (and I'm not staying on a high "tier" according to that rumor - not that I believe that story, anyway.)

Were staying at POP, with free dining and I called at 7am on the 90th day, I was on hold for quite a while and was able to get everything we wanted. I know a lot of our choices are not that popular, but what my DS and DH wanted. Of course I did get my choice of Le Celier,

Sorry you didnt get what you wanted! Today was also my 90 days, but I was very lucky.I called right at 7 got right through and was done in about 20 minutes. To those who think there is a new "tier" system, I have to say I completely disagree. We are not DVC, and are not staying at a deluxe resort this time. We are staying at POR and have free dining and I was able to get all of my ressies(even those "hard to get"), and at the times I wanted. This is What I got:

9/6 Liberty Tree 5pm
9/7Cali Grill 8pm
9/8 Chef Mickeys 8am

I was also able to get basically everything I wanted for June and for a spur of the moment bounce back trip to the Beach Club in July that I just booked. AND. . . because I'm DVC, they said they were going to show up at Le Cellier and cut my steak for me!

I have to call back at 90 days for Fulton's Crab House on the 8th - since they're not on the dining plan.

All times are between 6:30 and 7:00.

I think you need to be flexible - I had 2nd and 3rd choices for restaurants and about a 2 hour window for times. It may have helped that it's a party of 2 rather than a larger group.

We made our reservations on June 4th - called right at 7am, on hold for 8 minutes and got all the restaurants we wanted. We did have to change the date we ate at 'Ohana though. I feel your pain with the equally tough alternative choices - when I asked my DH what restaurant he might like if I can't 'Ohana for the week and he replies "Le Cellier"!

I called yesterday morning and after a few errors I got through. I wanted an illuminations cruise so I dialed the wdw-play number. I use a long distance pin number where you dial into a local number first and enter a pin, well yesterday something must of been up because I tried twice and it would not ring at all. I started to get nervous so I dialed direct to wdw-play and followed the prompts that are listed on one of these boards. Well silly me, I didn't check to make sure the prompts were still current and I ended up being hooked up to golf! By this time it was 7:04 so I hung up dialed direct and listened to the prompts this time, I had a four minute wait. I booked the cruise for the Tuesday during my stay. At the end of the call I mentioned that I was going to make dining reservations and I thought I would have to hang up and dial the other number, but the CM said no she could do everything for me. I made reservations for

Yachtsman
Ohana
Whispering Canyon
Raglan Road
Kona Cafe
Chef de France
Hoope de doo

I was able to get everything I wanted. All dinners were made at either 5 or 6 and breakfasts were at 8:05

I got off the phone and thought "wow that was too easy, I wonder if I would have gotten CRT?" Everytime I have been to disney I have never been able to get it, so this time I decided not to stress myself out over it and I didn't even try to book it. I dialed the dining number and was on hold for 13 minutes, the CM who answered could not hear me, I switched phones, that didn't work so I hung up and called again. I was on hold for about 15 minutes and sure enough able to make CRT reservations for 8:20 on the last day of our vacation. I just about fell over!
I don't know if it had to do with the fact that I called the play number and got through quicker? Although this would not explain CRT. Also the other thing I noticed is that I arrive on 9/4 and my CRT reservations are for 9/14 which is the 11th day. I did not think I would be able to book for that day?

Joolish1313, The CM did know what kind of dining I had (Free dining) I also booked my trip bounceback and was extended an additional offer for discount on my room. The 3rd CM did not ask what kind of dining I had, he just helped me make ADR's. He did have access to my resort reservation number where, I am sure, my information was posted.

OT: I was told you cannot use any room disounts with free dining. How does one get to us a room discount? We we sent a pin for the same time we are going. If I can get that discount and free dining that would be magical. I am not holding my breath. I would like to know if any others have been able to do it!
