We arrive on 9/4 so today was my 90 day mark for ADR's. I called right at 7:00, was on hold maybe 2-3 minutes and then got to start making requests. The first thing I wanted, dinner at Chef Mickey's at 5:00 on 9/4. Nope, nothing at all for a party of 4 for that night! What??? it's the first day to make reservations, but I guess all the people who were checking in up to 10 days prior to 9/4 got all the dinner slots. Luckily I was able to get dinner on 9/6 at CM. Next I wanted 'ohana for dinner on 9/5, nothing at all available for the time we are there! I know those two restaurants are very popular, but it's very frustrating when you call at 7:00AM on the first day you are eligible to call and there is NOTHING available at the restaurant you really wanted to go to!

Just had to vent! I will keep trying to call back and see if anything opens up. For now I took dinner at 1900 Park Fair for 9/4 as we need to stay in the MK area because of MNSSHP and that was the only thing available besides CRT.

I feel sorry for the offsite guests, there won't be much left at all for them:confused3

We arrive on 9/4 too. I called at 7 and was on hold for almost 20 minutes. I was able to get what I wanted and was able to get Ohanas for the 5th at 7pm.:confused3

I would try to call back.

I called right at 7 and was not on hold. I was able to get all I wanted as long as I was flexible (some less than preferred times). However, certain things seemed to lock the system for her. I had my friend make those reserves, but they were available. So calling back seems like the best option.

Sorry you had such a rough time.
You are right to keep trying though. Hopefully something will open up.
Have you been to 1900 Park Fair before? If not, maybe you will have discovered a new favorite! We have an ADR there in September and are excited to try it.
Good luck and have a great trip! :goodvibes

i did the same thing only i was on the phone forever to get only one of our choices. over 2 hours on the sat of mem day weekend.

dh called back two days later and we were able to get everything we wanted.

I read somewhere that if you have a hard time getting in to a favorite place at the beginning of your stay, try the end. I have three different days that I will try to get into Le Cellier and if I can't, I'll move on to something else. You just can't stress to much about it. ;)

Sorry to hear you had a tough time with ADR's. I can start making mine on Wednesday, and I'm not feeling too confident right now.

It seems all over the map- some can get exactly whatthey want others flip flop. Friends just booked a few days ago and arrie 3 days before us. They did their ARs through their TA and got exactly what they wanted when they wanted them including CRT. Us, well I made our ADRs and flip flopped all over our week to get what we wanted.:confused3

I am sorry your ADRs didnt work out for you. Just keep calling back as you never know what will open up. I will send some pixie dust your way :wizard: I called this morning and didnt have any hold time at all and we were able to get everything we wanted. Maybe our choices werent the most popular places. :confused3 We will be at MNSSHP on the 4th and eating at Chef Mickeys on the 6th to so we might see ya there. ;)

If you don't mind me asking, where are you staying? There is a thread that says that free dining has a new caste system and there are CM on the thread to verify that it is true. Look past this for a second because the same thing happened to me that happened to you. I couldn't get ANYTHING at 7:00. Call back, complain to the operator and ask to be connected to customer relations. Be nice but firm. They are reserving certain restaurants for other guests apparently (DVC and concierge). If you complain (nicely) you could get what you need. Hope this helps as someone helped me and it worked.

We are also checking in on the 4th. I called this morning and got the reservations we wanted. I was shocked to get Ohana after reading posts that yesterday people couldn't get it. Just keep trying. Good Luck

Stepdisney, question for you, how does the CM know on the phone what type of dining you have? (Or online if ressies are being made there?)

Also remember that sometimes adjusting the party size helps.

For our trip last summer (large group of 15) I made some 'extra' ADR's at restaurants I thought folks would want to try. I ended up able to make THREE ressies at Le Cellier: one for a party of 6, one for a party of 8 and another for 5. The night the one for the party of 8 was made ended up only being used by 4 (we adjusted it downward that day once folks had their plans set).

I found that focusing first on the high-priority ressies AND being most flexible (taking any day/time available) is the best way.

I know that runs counter to what folks do in terms of trying to set their park plans and days up before the 90 day mark, but we've never done that. We set our meal reservations up first and then figure out which park works best around the time.

Sorry you didnt get what you wanted! Today was also my 90 days, but I was very lucky.I called right at 7 got right through and was done in about 20 minutes. To those who think there is a new "tier" system, I have to say I completely disagree. We are not DVC, and are not staying at a deluxe resort this time. We are staying at POR and have free dining and I was able to get all of my ressies(even those "hard to get"), and at the times I wanted. This is What I got:

9/4 Le Cellier 6pm
9/6 Liberty Tree 5pm
9/7Cali Grill 8pm
9/8 Chef Mickeys 8am
9/8 Chefs De France 510pm
9/9 Tusker House 830am
9/9 Yak and Yeti 430pm
9/10 50's Prime Time Cafe 1245pm
9/10 Boma 800pm (date night)
9/11 Kona Cafe 830am
9/11 CRT 530pm(Then MNSSHP!)

Just as quick survey, please list
. . . where you are staying
. . . whether you have DDP
. . . whether you have Free DDP

THIS is VERY upsetting to me if at all accurate! :sad2:

We were able to get 2 LeCellier dinners and Ohanas, Kona, Whisp, LTT, Teppan, Sci Fi, Boatwrights, Captain Jacks, Planet H'wood, Trails end, and we had to book RF Cafe, DTD and we're doing a Mod. stay.....all for dinner, all at Dinner times!
So, lets hope this is NOT accurate as it should not be that way, nor is it evident by our reservations (which we are THRILLED with!) Geeze, thinking about that makes me very upset...everyone is entitled to atleast TRY for all the same places..:thumbsup2
**FREE dine!

Best of Luck to Everyone trying!!! :wizard:

We are going to Poly CL in just over 3 weeks. The IPO had our reservation requests before 90 days (so at 90 days she could make the reservations) and we were unable to get some of the requests that people in our party wanted. So, I think that saying the system is "tiered" is false.

We managed to get everything we wanted with only 3 at times we still would like to tweak. We are staying at POR, a party of 5 with the bounceback free dining from last year. It really sucks that you can't get into places on your 90 day mark especially if you are calling right at 7:headache:

8-27 T-Rex 3:30(obviously paying OOP for this one)
8-28 Ohanas 6:50
8-29 Chefs De France 5:10 ( would have liked 10 or so minutes earlier to make sure we can see Remy)
8-30 Boma 6:15
8-31 Coral Reef 5:50
9-1 Tusker House 8:25 am
9-2 LeCellier 4:00 (would have liked it a little later)
9-3 Yak N Yeti 4:30 (would have liked it a little later also)
9-4 Kona 5:30
9-5 Crystal Palace 5:00
9-6 Kona 8:30am
9-6 WCC 12:00

Lets hope so. I don't like the way it makes me feel. I'd like to think that Disney would know better than this but there are CM on the site confirming this.

Joolish1313, The CM did know what kind of dining I had (Free dining) I also booked my trip bounceback and was extended an additional offer for discount on my room. The 3rd CM did not ask what kind of dining I had, he just helped me make ADR's. He did have access to my resort reservation number where, I am sure, my information was posted.

It looks like ADR's opened up now. It seems like others are not having the problems I had earlier this week (Starting Monday morning). Hopefully it was a glitch in the system and nothing else.

Best to all trying.
