Frustrated at the housing market!

My husband and I were looking at the foreclosures in SW Florida. We were outbid several times. 4/2/09 an offer for a 3bdrm home was accepted for $11,000 over asking. We were suppose to close May 9 but that was extended since the public water and sewer hadn't been hooked up (converting from well and septic per the city). Well, the new closing date is June 8 which is less than a week away and still nothing has been done. We can't even get a straight answer as to when anything will be done. We were also told the hosue was cleaned out in March which it still hasn't been. Getting very frustrating and beginning to wonder if anyone is paying any attention. If the banks would sell some of these houses, maybe some of the banks would turn around.

It's not like that here in Central Indiana.

We have friends that have had their house on the market for 19 months! They did take it off the market for a few months earlier this year to rent it (bad experience!) but have it listed again.
