My mom and I are planning our first trip to Disney World for Jan./Feb.

She is a self proclaimed fruit addict. Particularly things like watermelon, peaches, etc.

I have no doubt that we'll be able to find things like apples and bananas fairly easily, but any thoughts on other kinds of fruits?

A lot of the buffets especially for breakfast offer a variety of other fruits. As for finding individual pieces of fruit, I'm not so sure where you could look for those. Many quick service restaurants also offer little containers of mixed fruit like pineapple, grapes, etc.

Most of the parks have fruit available, AK has a great stand in Africa. As a PP said, most of the buffets have a number of choices, and many of the TS have a fruit plate option.

I think Liberty square in the MK has a fruit stand. There is one on Sunset Boulevard at DHS. PP already mentioned Africa in AK. Don't know about Epcot.
All resort quick service places will have whole fruit and some cut fruit pots as well in the grab n go cases.

We love fruit, and always have a car so we can go to the store and get a bunch. It's too expensive at Disney!

Every park has a fruit stand of some sort. You might want to look at menus and see what is available.

Also remember that fruit is available as a side on every kids meal counter service option so you can always get those things on their own. For fresh fruit, look at the stands.

One thing to consider might be to place an order with Garden Grocer. Then you could pick what you want. The choices at the food court might be the more run-of-the-mill fruit choices (apples, bananas, grapes) and even the "fruit cups" are likely to be the same.

ETA: Just checked the menu at the fruit stand at MK. You can get watermelon and pineapple in addition to the more common fruits!

The cups of diced fruit like watermelon and pineapple tasted much fresher than the whole pieces of fruit so I'd recommend those if your mother is picky about her fruit!

I agree with ordering from Garden Grocer, we do. We order: fresh fruit, breakfast foods, juice, case of water, soda, beer, wine, coffee, cheese and crackers, and other snacks. We have a quick breakfast in the room most mornings, and always have a cold drink and snacks when we return in the afternoon for a break. We carry bottles of water into the parks with us and it is nice to relax on the balcony with a glass of wine. I believe we save the delivery fee just by carrying our own water over buying bottled water in the park
Good Luck

I'm definitely planning on doing a garden grocer order for alchohol, water and breakfast foods since we won't have a car.

If they have cut watermelon, she will be in heaven. We'll be there for 9 days so any fruit I order will be either bad or long gone by the time we leave.

She's letting me do my type A planning thing and this is literally the only question that she's asked :)

Thanks for the help!
