If you've gone at rope drop recently, how long did you end up waiting to get on the ride? Has it calmed down a bit since the ride first opened? We haven't been on it since it was Maelstrom and we're going to Epcot tomorrow. We're FL APs with no resort so I wasn't able to score a FP, and RD is the only option. Excited to see how the ride has changed!

I have little interest in Frozen so I may not have been following information on this ride....however, doesn't World Showcase open at 11 a.m. and not at Epcot rope drop? Did they make an exception for Frozen?

ALL of Norway now opens at 9:00 AM.:)

You can get as far as Norway at rope drop to get on Frozen. There is a rope blocking the path for the rest of the World Showcase past Norway untill 11. We did Frozen at rope drop one morning in the middle of last week and the wait was not bad but it quickly made its way up to a 60 min wait.

The KEY is getting to the Tapstiles EARLY and being one of the first in line.

The wait time will vary dramatically from those at the front of the line at the Tapstiles to those at the very back.:)

What is "dramatic," though? Like 60 minutes even if you are at the back of the line right at 9 a.m.? Or 60 even if you are at the front of the line? Just trying to get an idea of how crazy it is going to be. If we're going to have to wait an hour just to get on the ride even if we're there at 9 a.m., we might skip it. :/ We will definitely try to be there pretty early, but we have little kids so you never know what's going to happen when you're trying to get them out the door.

We went at RD the week before Thanksgiving. Two teen boys, my DH and myself. We got on right when we got there (2-3 minutes), but we were at the front of rope drop and we walked/ran to the ride. OK, the boys ran......I stopped to catch my breath a few times. We got to the ride and the castmember looked at me and said, "Did you just finish the Frozen 5K?" I didn't realize how far it is from the front of the park. If you're there at RD and in pretty decent shape you will pass quite a few people and get on right away, I suggest you just go as quickly as you can and don't stop for anything!!!

I went at rope drop a couple of months ago. We were with the masses waiting in front of Spaceship Earth by about 15-20 minutes before posted park opening time (we were not front and center of the masses, but not at the back either really). Went straight to Norway when they released us and I would say it was less than 15 minutes from the time we arrived at the entrance to Frozen to the time we got on a boat. I'm sure it's busier this time of year than when I was there, but I think as long as you are there ready to go a few minutes before rope drop and you walk briskly to Norway without stopping for photos or sightseeing you should be able to get on without too long of a wait.

Thanks all! I will post tomorrow after the ride to let you know how long we waited. Assuming we make it onto the ride! :D

We got in line at 9:12 am after dining at Akershus & the posted wait was 45 minutes but we only wait about 20 minutes. The line was pass akershus when we got in line.

We were at epcot yesterday for EMH, I am in a wheelchair this trip so we are a bit slower than usual. We made it to FEA at around 8:10 and were riding by 8:25 (so around a 15 minute wait), a o I would say it's truly not that bad at rope drop.

I went about a month ago on a Saturday morning. We didn't quite make rope drop - heard them letting people in as we were going through bag check. We went straight to frozen and had about a 15-20 minute wait - it wasn't bad at all. By the time we got off the ride the posted wait time was 45 or 60 minutes.

DH and I did Epcot rope drop from IG first of November. They actually let us in around fifteen minutes early. Snapped a few beautiful empty park photos around Great Britain and headed over to Norway. Walked onto FEA. Enjoyed the ride very much. When we came out the posted wait time was 15 minutes so what the heck, we jumped back in for another visit to Arendelle. After our second ride, the posted wait time was 60 minutes. So rope drop was very good to us that day!

Has anyone gone to Frozen at rope drop and then headed back to TT? I am just wondering what the standby wait will be for TT after doing Frozen. We couldn't get a Frozen FP so we got Soarin but want to ride TT as a family as well (I know we can always go single).

I arrived at Epcot around 8:00-8:15am Saturday morning - they let us in at 8:40ish - we walked quickly back to Norway - started lining up and waited til 9:00am when the park "opened". After opening we waited no more than 10 minutes to ride. I thought it was a really great use of time and would do it again. I am an AP holder - recently purchased and wasn't able to get a fastpass either.

I also rode TT on the way back from Frozen - it wasn't long at all.

We've never did rope drop but when we were there for thanksgiving we weren't able to get a FP on our last day because of our flight time/ times available. It said it was a 50 minute wait, but we only waited 30 minutes. (The line was outside) We went on around 11 AM. There weren't a lot of people on line with fast passes, which helped.

When does the line for the Anna & Elsa meet and greet start? Does it open at 9am as well?
How long does the wait get for it at rope drop? Plan is to hustle back to ride at rope drop and then get in line for meet and greet after.
