I know there is a thread already but it's not targeting people who have actually done the frozen show.

I was hoping to get some personal experiences.

Are people actually waiting an hour to get in?

How is the view without paying and using fast pass?

And experiences with them different level tickets.

We saw the 11:30 am performance on Sun July 3rd. We got fast pass tickets after we did RR and Soarin' at park opening and got the Mezzanine section. The fast pass tickets tell you to arrive anywhere between 10:30 and 11:10 am. Doors close at 11:10 am. We arrived at 10:52 am. They have some snacks (popcorn, candy, soda, etc.) for sale on the street side of the waiting area. We originally walked past this and got into line. After a couple mins I decided to go back for snacks but right then the line began to move to be let in (got up the stairs, inside and seated by about 11:10 am). We got the far section about 5 rows from the front for our seats. Had no problems seeing everything from there. We were bypassed by the vendors walking around selling snacks who were on the bottom level so if you want to eat during the show make sure you get it before you go in.

To be honest I was feeling frozened out and wasn't too interested in seeing the show on our short trip, but it was very well done and my husband and I both really enjoyed it. I'm sure if we had gotten in line earlier we could have gotten center seats but since we were able to relax and ride some rides and avoid the heat I feel our seats were perfect.

Wait, they are allowing snack in the Hyperion Theater? That's something new. I didn't think they allowed that in the theater.

With no FP you are not guarented a seat. So you can wait in line for an hour + and get nothing for it. If you want to see the show then get a FP.

I know certain viewing packages have priority seating (meaning they get the first pick). FP go in after that. Then IF there are any open seats left they allow Stand-by guests in to fill those seats.

Wait, they are allowing snack in the Hyperion Theater?
Yep it started with Frozen.

They stop letting you in the queue 20 minutes prior to the show (it says that on the Fast Pass I believe). We got there probably about 40-50 minutes prior to the show on 6/29 (5:50pm show I believe) and were seated in the balcony/mezzanine about halfway up in that section. The view was fine.

I think the theater is designed well and most seats should have a decent view. We did the pre-show package and had our choice of seats before the fp'ers were let in, so cannot tell you the regular/fp experience but did notice a large group that very angrily left because they were towards the back of their fp line and there were no seats together once they got in. One lady we ahd spoken to earlier was planning to get in line an hour before the show.

And, yes, they allow snacks. We didn't realize this and didn't ask and didn't take anything with us from the pre-show event and that was a bummer. HA! But, the show was very well done. Quite a few technical malfunctions, but even our niece who does not enjoy musical theater really loved the show. She was shocked how great it was and kept commenting over and over. Definitely go!

How long are people Queing up for fast passes for the show? And is it recommended to do RSR (or get s FP) and soarin at park opening then get a frozen shoe FP? Thanks

I saw the 1:35 show earlier this week. I can't remember the exact time I got the FP, but I think it was around 10 and I had orchestra section (this was on a regular entry day). They opened the queue at 12:25 and I did get in line at that time. Before they let FP holders in line, they did let some people get in a standby line right at 12:25, but I am not sure if all of them got in the theater or not because they entered after everyone else. I was towards the front of the line and luckily a lot of the orchestra line is shaded near the front, so it wasn't too bad of a wait. Many people were just sitting on the ground until about 12:50 or so when they asked people to stand up and move forward as much as possible. They opened the theater between 1:15 and 1:20. Balcony and mezzanine ended up entering the theater before us because we had to wait for the pre-show package people to enter the theater. I was able to get two seats in the first row of the second section of the mezzanine and I thought it was a good view of the show because you could see the side projections. I noticed there were some single seats scattered throughout the orchestra, so you could probably get there at 1:15 and be at the back of the line and still get a seat, but you will have to sit wherever there is space and will very possibly be separated from your group.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a FP for this day and had booked the pre-show package the following day as a backup, but I ended up cancelling the package once I got a FP. The show is great - amazing performances and technical aspects! They were cast members walking around selling popcorn and drinks in the theater so you could definitely eat during the show.

I saw the show the last week in June, on a Wednesday. I did rope drop, got a FP for Soarin', then rode Soarin' without a FP, then walked over to the Hyperion for a FP for Frozen.

FP is issued orchestra, then mezzanine, then balcony for the first show. Then they switch to the second show, and start with orchestra again. I arrived right when they were switching the machines to the second show of the day, and got orchestra.

I showed up an hour before showtime, after getting a chile lime corn and a drink for the show. I ate and drank both in line, waiting so long. But arriving that early put me towards the front of the line, and I was seated 5th row towards the center, which actually put me UNDER some of the action (you'll see what I mean).

Point is - good seating for the show is kinda potluck - it depends when you pick up your FP which section you will get. But lining up early before the show will get you your choice of seats in that section.

I'm following everyone's information for our October trip.
My intention was to go with the Pre-Show package.
Now I find out that Frozen entertainment packages of all kinds will not be available after Sept 5th.

I'm really hoping for a ground floor seat. I climbed the stairs once years ago and can't do that now.

I've always been accommodated when I told them I couldn't climb stairs.

We saw it this week (Monday). Did early morning, RSR, Screaming, a couple others. Went for FP, line was 5 minutes. Got orchestra for 11:30. Got a soarin FP (they are separate FPs.) Rode some pier stuff. Came back for soarin. Went over to theater and got in line (10:50 or so). We were towards the back and right and still saw everything fine. Everyone was surprised by how much they liked it. I would describe it as rather hassle-free other than the half hour wait to get in and take a seat.
