I am 182 days out. I had everything planned for our trip in September (11th-19th). I'm ready to do my ADRs this weekend . Now I just heard about this frozen summer of fun. Well I understand it is a summer thing and that it ends early September but last year they also had it on weekends at DHS.
The problem is I dont have a weekend day at DHS on my trip. We are only going there on Monday because they have evening extra magic hours with the playhouse dance party.
My question is should I "HOPE" that they extend this event in the weekends of September again and maybe add a day at DHS on the weekend?
Thanks for your help and advice.

Yep. In the am they had the procession. We already had our FPs for 7dmt and didn't want to switch. Our main thing was the sing along and thats always available now.

The Frozen Summer Fun ends September 7th. Unless it's extended, you won't have any problems?

I'm not sure how your plans are ruined. Your trip is planned for Sept. 11-19th, but as another poster has mentioned the Frozen Summer Fun ends on September 7th. I think you'll be fine to go forward with your plans as you have them.

Last year they extended the Frozen Summer Fun for the weekends of September.

Gotcha! In that case, I'd keep your plans as they are. Right now, it's a wild card if they would extend it or not. I would keep plans as you have them. Maybe you could add the park hopper, so that you'll have a little more flexibility if you see they extend to weekends. Maybe hopping over for a bit would give you a bit of time at DHS with the Frozen weekend but you can keep most of your plans the same. We always make great use of having the park hopper. Good luck with your plans!

Indeed they did. We made an unscheduled trip in August just because we wanted to see FSF so badly. One daughter couldn't go, but really wanted to. Then they extended it and she could go in October. So they got 2 trips out of us. Had we known for sure they'd extend, we could've all gone in October.

If you are into Frozen, move your DHS day to one that has all of the festivities. It is definitely worth seeing the parade, singalong, AND fireworks. I did so several times last year and was very impressed. In fact, my word of advice is to always attend if fireworks are offered at DHS. They are always very well done.

Thank you also.

karpy - FSF was thrown together in less than two weeks last year. Because it was so popular, it was extended even though it overlapped MNSSHP. Because Disney doesn't like to overlap hard-ticket events, FSF probably will end on September 7th. You should just go along with the plans you have made.

Last year they had an event (Sinister Soiree) within an event (MNSSHP). I really don't think they will care if it overlaps at all. Plus, the first MNSSHP is Sept 15, so an extension isn't out of the question. Anything that makes them money, they will do. Lol

A quick question for those of you who went to this event last year. Does the end of day Fireworks conflict with Fantasmic? or can we do both?
