Frozen Ride

Not enough to wait 2 hrs with kids but a good FP ride.

I should maybe follow up on my blunt "no" response.

The movie was lousy. I just do not get the love for the film. I have never disliked a Disney cartoon before, so I was shocked at how much I disliked it. I hated the songs. I hated the characters. I found the story full of holes and poorly paced.

So fast-forward to them building the ride. To be fair i was already prejudiced against the theme of the ride. We got a FP for it last year and went in. The queue is actually very well done...and that's were the fun ends. My parents had never seen the movie and couldn't follow the story of the ride...because there isn't one. They had no clue what was happening. The animatronics are interesting, but not enough to carry the ride. There are huge stretches of blank space. Ride scenes might be on one side of the boat while the opposite wall is blank.

We were underwhelmed to say the least. On the plus side, there will be one less family clogging up the line!

My expectations were very low but the ride was better than I expected. With that said, after you have ridden it once or twice - that's about it.

I don't think any ride is worth a two hour wait. I do think it's worth a FP. The first time I rode it I thought it was pretty. The second time I really liked it. I am going to Disney again in May. I have 2 days in Epcot. I booked a FP for FEA for one of the days, and Soarin for the other.

It exceeded my expectations and I thought it was the best new ride in a while. I even cried during the Elsa scene. We rode with fastpass.

This was me. I cried. And the funny thing is I am NOT a huge Frozen fan. Truth be told I only watched the movie because my niece and nephew wanted to see it. But nevertheless the Elsa scene stirred something in me, I don't know what.

So I enjoyed the ride and I will be riding again. I don't think I'd wait more than 30-40 mins in standby, but the queue is worth that to me. I won't use another FP on it unless I'm solo because I have Teen/Young Adult kids so they would rather we use it on Soarin/TT

Yes! I remember floating through areas that just felt like they weren't finished yet. I was expecting something more like POTC or IASW where there is no "empty space" on the ride. I kept thinking, "This ride has been closed for over a year and it still looks like it isn't finished!" I'm sure we'll ride it again on our next visit because our teenage daughters will want to, but I wouldn't feel like I was missing out on anything if we skipped it.

I think a lot of the empty space/blank walls happen when the ride is running but not fully functioning. The room after Elsa sings has snowflakes and swirls of snow projected on both walls - but only when that projection system works (which isn't often). Even when it works - it's a projection of snowflakes - which I am not impressed with. The ride is better when all parts work - but quite a few of the working parts are no big deal.

My advice for times when you ride it and a lot of it isn't working is to stop by guest services on the way on. Complain nicely, but be insistent. They can issue you a golden ticket fast pass (return any time fast pass).

I also suspect that if they ran the ride only when all parts of it worked that it would only be open for 15 minutes a day.

No. I'm talking about where there is a scene on one side of the boat (for example, I think it was Sven and the gang) on the right side, but if you turned your head left it was a just a blank wall. And the backwards Elsa Let it Go moment was "working"... it was just lame. And big stretches between scenes of nothing. No theming. No decorations.

Not thrilled and won't make an effort to ride it again. If the line's short then yeah, and if we could snag a last minute FP then sure. But it's not a priority. The queue was great and detailed nicely, but the ride felt rushed and story-less. I expected there to be some "trouble in the city" type of story but it just felt like an excuse to go through a few of the popular songs and showcase the animatronics. 7DMT doesn't really have a story either, but it's also a roller coaster so there's not really a storyline component needed, IMO. Frozen just felt bland. Made me miss Maelstrom.

We rode it on opening day and I thought that for a makeover it was well done, It is good but not great. With that being said and with the tiered FP system in Epcot I don't think that we will be riding it on our upcoming trip unless the line is short at the end of the night ( doubt it ). Not worth a long wait IMO.

I have to agree with everyone- definitely not worth the wait time. I happen to get a free extra faspass for it from a CM otherwise I would have skipped it. It was a nice ride but not worth the 90 min wait time. I'd wait max 30

I was able to ride it three times last week and agree with those who found it just "Meh." The technology of the animatronics is first-rate and impressive, but thought there was so much wasted space/potential. I was definitely disappointed with all of the projections - especially after the "Let it Go" sequence. I agree with the poster who said that the amount of time you wait will have a big influence on how much you enjoy the actual ride. My boyfriend and best friend LOVED the ride. I could have ridden it once and been content.

My husband and I are both early 30s. I am the Disney lover and he just likes to have fun and enjoys Disney for that reason. I thought the ride was great, my husband thought it was just okay. We waited about 25-30 minutes to ride it. I thought it was worth that. I would have been disappointed if we waited 70+ minutes though.

We liked it a lot. Much more than the previous ride there. I was expecting much worse. The queue is very cute.

I'm not a big Frozen fan. Only saw the movie once.

I don't see the line area as being cute. It's dark and not really themed for the ride. One advantage that it has over some line areas is that is isn't excessively noisy. I don't see where they put much effort into it.

Really? The queue was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation or hear myself think.

Do you like it?

Not really. And I'm a Frozen fan. It just seemed uninspired, like the "Under the Sea" ride in MK. Not a fan of either, though I love other dark rides like Peter Pan, Winnie, Pirates & It's a Small World. They didn't seem to try that hard (or be that skilled) on this one.

I really like it, but I think you can "feel" when a ride has been something else before, then just transformed the easy way. I loved the animatronics though. They could definitely improve it so that there is more of a story line.
