Frozen Ride - opening summer 2016

Soarin is under renovations to reopen in August.

I will be at Epcot in late August.

I have a questions that I am sure someone can answer very quickly

(1) When it comes time for my family and I to book our fast passes (60 days before our trip) I don't think either of these rides will be open yet. Since 1 is still being built and the other is being renovated, will they still offer FP+ for these two rides even though there is no guarantee they will be open?

(2) I am just trying to muddle through some language here about FP+: "You can choose your FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of your visit. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the entire length of your stay."

- Does this mean if I am checking in August 23 and departing Sept 1 As soon as I am 60 days out from the start of my vacation I can pick FP+ for my entire vacation at that time? I understand being about to pick a FP for August 23 (that will be 60 days out), but August 30th will be more than 60 days out.

I guess the easiest way to word it is can I book all my FP+ at once when I am 60 days out from the start of my vacation.

OR

Do I need to book for the 23rd, then wait a day, book for the 2th, wait ..... etc until I have done this for an entire week?

You will be able to book FP+ for your entire trip 60 days out from your arrival day.

1) no. More than likely fast passes will become available once there's a 100% confirmed opening date for either. Might be a chance fast passes are available when your 60 day window comes, but stay tuned if Disney announces a confirmed opening. In my opinion it'll likely be about 2 weeks before the rides open and not 2 months ahead.

2) off site guests book 30 days out and book one day at a time. On site guests book their entire stay at 60 days out. It's 60 days+the length of your stay. So for the very best selection of fast passes, do your fast passes from your departure day and work backwards

You sure about that? Remember, Rivers of Light was supposed to debut on April 22.

I don't mean to hijack, but where did you get Soarin' opening in August?? I've been keeping track, or trying to keep track, and I've seen mainly June 17 prediction and also July 1 prediction. Now if it has changed to August, we will miss it again....

Oh ok, thanks. In the sticky thread here on the DIS in the rumors and news section, they have June 17 -- I had actually never heard August before this thread, but I guess it wouldn't surprise me, unfortunately.
