I am guessing no, since I don't see any thread on here saying there is 3 hr wait. I remember when there used to be a stampede at TSM in HS. I can't even imagine what Frozen is going to be like. We are going the end of August, I want to ride the ride at least once and am staying on property so hopefully will get a fp for it.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any soft openings yet, or even any cast member previews for that matter. 7DMT had its first soft opening for park guests a week before it opened. Maybe they got delayed? It looked really not ready-to-go from the outside when we were there the last weeks of May/first week of June, but they seem to have done a lot to the outside since then.

Given how poor Safari is at night and disappointing the new Star Wars show is I have no reason to have high expectations for this ride.

Yes, I was really disappointed with the nighttime Safari. I guess I was expecting more animals and more light from the "sunset". It made me wish I had made our FPs for the daytime one instead.

This better not be like Festival of Lights with a many month delay. Come on Disney, hire more construction workers with the millions of $$$ you are making. Disney can fix these problems they just want to do it the cheapest ways. Also, the ride refurbishments don't have to be 6 months if they had different crews working on different parts of the ride. I think Disney does things cheap and that's what all of these delays are. Also, there was no reason to close Maelstrom, they could of built a new ride if they wanted. And new rides can go up a lot quicker then Disney puts them up, just hire more crew.

Here at Epcot now, and we approached a cast member that looked somewhat "official" and was hanging out in the Norway pavilion this afternoon. We asked about any soft openings and his reply was "If all goes well we should open Tuesday..." His response was very skeptical and hesitant.
Could be that they just didn't want to tell us anything, or they are worried about this ride not being ready.
Oh, and yes the walls are still up.

A few of my Epcot co-workers have ridden it in a slightly less than complete state. They're tweaking the animatronics, lighting, and music.
