I'd imagine it will be like any other new attraction.
I meant with the tiering of attractions. Will the Frozen ride and the meet and greet both be tier 1? Will that change when Soarin' comes back? Any speculation on this yet?

I think it's almost a gaurantee both are tier one.

Figures. There are posters I ignore, but it's a small number. Doing that to everyone who ever posted in this thread would be silly.

I shall just have to try and exercise willpower... which means I'll probably read it again tomorrow...
That willpower can be useful. There are a few threads I never bother with and I would definitely say that if this is important enough to someone to threaten their mental health that staying away might be wise. I feel that my mental health is still relatively intact so I will go on as before.

Agree^
- I think they will both be Tier 1 along with Test Track and Soarin'.
- I think Illuminations will drop to Tier 2, I mean it's not like you can't see it without and obviously Living with the Land should drop.
- If you get your FP+ early, you could roll a few more of the Tier 2 ones.

While I get that many won't like that solution, I think that is the fairest way to do it. There will be many who will remain focused on TT and Soarin' and this is no real change for them from last year. There will be too big a demand for the sisters and the ride so it's really only fair to share the wealth and folks will have to pick which they are willing to wait in line for - just like the Soarin' and Test Track. I think the goal for Disney is not that you just go to Epcot but you go more than one day on your trips, then you have two days shot at FP+. They want guests there for a week, that's how the website is set up.

I guess that waiting in long lines would help a fill a day at Epcot. It's rather brilliant if you think about it.

To each their own. Some like it, some don't, some are indifferent. I have spent time in Epcot and gone on no rides. I find it a relaxing park with good eats and drinks. It's the one park I can just wander and not feel like I have to rush or get on anything.

I do think Futureworld is in desperate need of an overhaul since it's far from future and its worn to the threads. Major worn. I think Disney will see how this interjecting of Frozen goes and if it looks like what they are hoping for, would not be surprised to see the rides in Germany and Japan get built out with themes and so on.

Disney will do what is best for Disney, that is their job to us stockholders.

It most likely will include those. Then you have mission space go back to tier 2 once Soarin comes back.

I don't think Tier 1 and Tier 2 are intended as rankings, just as a way to spread people amongst the attractions. That being the case it's entirely possible they could put the meet and greet in one tier and the ride in the other.

Yes, I'm not supposed to be reading this thread. I was quoted and got an alert and I have no willpower...

If anything I think the meet and greet would be tier two and the ride tier one but even that I don't see likely.

I knew you couldn't stay away ;)

What do you think about the possibility of Test Track becoming Tier 2? I don't see any reason to have Frozen, M&G, Illuminations, Soarin' and Test Track as Tier 1. The problem with Epcot is there are no tier 2 options worth picking. Test Track basically becomes the Epcot equivalent to Tower of Terror FP.

remember that the only reason that there are "tiers"is because they don't have enough things to support their fast pass system.

so i ask - shouldn't we be asking when imagination will be redone or wonders of life will be replaced? not where the elsa boat is gonna be on the "tier" schedule?

i know…philosophical and all kinds a stuff

Maybe they surprise us and and get rid of tiers I doubt that tho. I think test track stays as tier 1.

We're not asking because we know it's not happening any time soon...

Olaf is already a hugely popular character in Florida.

Is it possible that Soarin will be a tier 2 due to the fact that it's getting a 3rd theater?

No adding a third theater isn't going to drop waits by that much.

You'd need at least one more major ride (Frozen doesn't apply because of capacity issues) to really impact wait times on Soarin' I would think.

Everything points towards revamping Epcot, but I can't believe they'd want to do it until at least Avatar, along with Toy Story land are running. They need the ability to absorb the traffic. Unless of course they just re-imagine one building at a time, especially the ones that are not in prime use. You also need to consider that Test track can be closed due to weather.

Unlike DHS they could easily take that approach in Epcot. How many pavilions are standing empty right now?
