They could have concentrated on Future World. WS has (had) the advantage of being popular for festivals and dining. That whole front area has two and a half rides and little else. Elsa could have taken over a huge pavilion. The Wonders of Frozen?
Disney too often takes the easy way out nowadays.
Could have, sure. But I don't think they had any incentive to. Frozen doesn't fit the theme of Future World any better than it does World Showcase, maybe even less. And while Future World clearly needs lots of help there wasn't a ride that could be "quickly" re-themed. At most this is a band aid anyway. It gets Frozen in the parks as an attraction, it potentially at least frees up Princess Fairytale Hall for the odd other Princess and it boosts Epcot attendance somewhat. Future World is completely and possibly irreversibly broken.
But and here I go being negative again, why would Disney do more? People will just show up anyway and clap their hands.
