We are going to be down early august for dd's birthday. She is turning 3 and is frozen obsessed. I am considering adding the frozen package to our visit. It would be $140 for 2 adults. The 2 toddlers and infant would be free. I think we could almost eat and drink enough to justify the cost.

Has anyone done the package with kids? Do you think the kids would enjoy it?

It's the Hollywood studios. You get reserved believing for the royal welcome, with free beverages and ice cream, a reserved seat at the sing along, reserved seating for the fireworks, and a dessert party with all you can eat sweets and alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

I just wasn't sure if it might be too much for the kids.

I used the premium package during my trip a week or two ago and here's my honest feedback: The pass has three main benefits:

1) A VIP section to view the parade with Frozen characters in the morning. The holding area is right near the stage. When you check in you are treated to complimentary water, soft drinks, frozen lemonade and ice cream. We checked in about 9:30 so had quite a wait. The cast members were lovely engaging and even did some games with the kids as they were waiting. Once the parade started I'm not sure that this is the best viewing area. We were at the very end of the route which meant that those lined up the blvd had a much earlier and better view. We could watch it snowing down the street and could hear Elsa singing "let it go" as we sat there envious. It felt like it took ages for them to get to us and when they did I think we were all hoping for some special interactions but there wasn't really anything that I felt made our experience in the viewing area worth the cost of the package. They just did a brief once around and that was it. We felt this was very anti-climatic.

2) Premium entry to one performance of the Frozen singalong. When you check in for the package at 9:30am they ask you to pick when you would like to see the Frozen singalong. We picked the 5.30 show and were told that there would be a VIP door that we would go through before they filled the rest of the house. We showed up early and were the only guests waiting in this line. The rest of the line (a combination of FP and general admission) was quite long but nothing out of the ordinary. My parents got in the stand-by line 15 minutes before the show started, managed to get in, had great seats and didn't pay for the premium package. Before the show started we were escorted in, told to sit in the second row but were also told that we had to sit at the end of the aisle, this meant that were were on the far left side of the stage and to be honest our view was far from great. My parents were dead center two rows behind us with no waiting which made this part of the package seem a bit pointless.

3) Frozen Dessert Party with Fireworks viewing- now I admit that we were a bit unfortunate here as the weather was terrible. For that reason our dessert party was moved to the stage of the Indiana Jones stunt show- this was really novel and good fun. The desserts on offer were nice, the cocktails for adults even better but there were no activities on offer for the kids, just a table with some crayons for coloring so after having a few cupcakes my DD was actually bored and asking to go home. The weather was terrible so we opted at that point to miss the fireworks and just return back to the resort. If it had been a beautiful night, I'm sure the fireworks would've been amazing but even before the weather took a turn, I was starting to think that just turning up a wee while before the fireworks started at the stage probably could've got you just as good a view if not better as the VIP area did have some obstructions due to trees.

Would I book this package again? Probably not, I just didn't feel that we got enough out of it to justify the expense. That being said if they bulked up the offer, even adding in a meet and great with the characters or something a bit extra I definitely would consider it. At the moment I just think it falls a bit flat.

We did it last summer (actually made a special trip just for Frozen Summer Fun) and honestly it was the biggest waste of money I've ever encountered at Disney. There were some benefits, but not nearly enough to justify the cost, and the price point was lower last summer than this one. I'd never sign up for it again.

We did it last summer with our two 22 months olds. At the time, they were not into movies and TV shows at all other than Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. For us, the day was just too long for toddlers. We enjoyed the drinks, ice cream/frozen lemonades, and having reserved spaces for the procession; and we enjoyed having the priority seating for the Sing A Long. BUT...by the time of the dessert party...we were all just too tired. It was hot, too crowded, and there was nowhere to even sit other than the asphalt. If they had chairs and tables, we wouldn't have minded it so much. In the end, we stayed because we had paid for it. BUT, with nowhere to sit and holding 2 toddlers/holding on to two over-tired toddlers, it wasn't worth it. We are heading to Disney at the end of this week and we didn't book it this year.

If your 3 year old can go 11 hours strong in the summer heat, then it might be worth it (from early for procession to fireworks). If not, I'd save the cash!

We do open to close at the parks regularly. She sleeps in her stroller when she's tired.

I didn't realize there was nowhere to sit at the dessert party. Do they allow you to bring your stroller in? I don't even know how we could tackle the 2 toddlers, and a 9 month old, and try to eat standing up!

No. They made us leave our stroller outside of the party "ropes." That was the main reason we won't do it again. They have a few tables for special needs, but that was it. The other tables are tall for standing. It was miserable for us trying to hold ours and attempt to enjoy things.

We are doing it August. My girls are 8 & 5. If they were younger I am not sure if I would do it. My youngest is also frozen obsessed but she is able to not need to be entertained all the time. When she was 3 she was a terror in restaurants, which is why we've pushed our trip back until she was older.

I can confirm that it is the same this year.

I guess that settles it then. No way am I chasing 2 toddlers. I had planned to just leave them in their strollers.

Thanks for the info!! I was doubting my decision to not book it. But now I'm glad I didn't!
