Hi All! We are on the 5/23 Alaska sailing. I had sent an email to DCL to ask what night the Frozen menu would be as I wanted to make sure our Palo dinner wouldn’t be on the same night. The CM said they were not doing specialty dinners at this time. Can anyone confirm this?

We’re on the first Alaskan the week before you. Since each dining room has 2 menus and they are 7 night cruises they will have to do something for the 7th night and I’ll be shocked if it’s not frozen

According to Scott Sanders' blog, they did have the Frozen menu on the Wonder on the Panama Canal cruise recently.
For a point of reference (realizing that who knows what changes have been made), on our DCL Alaska cruise in 2017, the Frozen menu and deck show were on the Skagway night, and the Frozen stage show was on the Juneau night.

Hope you have a great time on your cruise! This will be our first time to Alaska and I am so excited!

It’s my second time but first for my parents, my sister and my kids!

I suspect frozen will be on either night 3 or 4 (guessing an ABBCABC rotation)

In 2019, the Frozen deck show was on night 3 (glacier day). Pretty sure that’s the night they served the Frozen menu (not the night of the Frozen theater show). We ate in Cabanas that night.

It's interesting that the 7-night rotation is structured so much different from the 5-night. The 5-nights have all been:

A - All MDRs serve the same menu
A - Rotational
B - Pirate menu
B - Rotational
C - Rotational

Then debark breakfast is in C.

I’ve done 2 7 nights and a 10 night and both 7 nights were (I believe) ABBCABC

How many menus does each restaurant have? Assuming you have Embark Day Menu, Frozen Menu, and Formal menu, plus each restaurant's signature menu, there's one night left.

I believe (it's been 8 years) each restaurant now has 2 signature menus plus then the Frozen menu, but I'll confirm 3 weeks from today.

For 7 day cruises, each restaurant has 2 menus plus frozen or pirate night. For longer cruises they have other menus so you never repeat a menu during the cruise. The second menus in restaurants are a version of prince and princess (in Tiana/Rapunzel), Captains gala (Tritons/Lumiere's), animation magic (Animators palate). No idea what the corresponding restaurants are on the Fantasy...only been on Wonder/Magic.

I thought Captain's Gala was formal night, not necessarily Triton's, i.e. it you were in Animator's on formal night, you'd have the Captain's Gala menu in Animator's, and all three dining rooms would have the Captain's Gala menu that night.

That switched a few years ago once they added Tianas and Rapunzel's restaurants. Now that menu is just in Tritons, usually on your last night there. I've experienced both ways as our wonder visit was pre Tianas and our magic was post Rapunzel's. DCL blog (Scott's blog) has the most recent menus with these changes.

Thanks, this is all very helpful. I've only done 5-nighters on the Magic and it's all quite different. On those itineraries, there are two nights where the whole ship is eating the same dinner (embarkation and Pirate). I assumed that 7-night Alaska would have three nights like that (embarkation, Frozen, and formal), but it sounds like Frozen night is the only one with a common menu and on Formal night, you just eat whatever menu happens to be served in the dining room you're in that night?

Yes, this is correct for 7-nighters - only one night with a common menu.
