Permits and paperwork filed for Frozen Meet & Greet - all new construction - in the space between Mexico and Norway.

At least it's a new build. :thumbsup2

Agreed :cool1:

From the applications: "1.08 acre area within the area between the Norway and Mexico attractions at EPCOT, Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. The project includes the following: construction of a 13,000 +/- sf building that will house a Disney guest attraction and a women's restroom; construction of a 2,000 sf modular type building to replace a similar building demolished for the project; construction of two small parking lots that have a total of 18 parking spaces; relocation of piping and mechanical equipment associated with a beverage dispensing kiosk; modification and addition of sidewalks and planters; new underground utilities; modification to the existing restroom in the Norway attraction building."

I wonder if A&E get their names on a couple of the parking spaces. ;)

Thanks for the info!

I'm actually really looking forward to the new Frozen ride and this new building being added! Anything new is great! We usually just walk past the Norway Pavillion anyway, or at most stop quickly and then move on. So I will be happy to have another attraction I will ride at Epcot since right now they need it :)

Where can I find info on how long it will take to build?

Reinforces my decision to hit DL this year and return to WDW in 2016 when the most of the new construction is completed.

While I get that Arendale is not Norway it is inspired by Norway so I think it's a good fit.

It's odd they are adding only a women's bathroom, when there are bathrooms in the building right next door.

Funny- my first thought when I opened this thread and saw the blueprint was "Darn, that means the bathrooms are going to be closed on our next trip! That is the one where everyone always needs to stop!"

My bet would be that the "modification" to the existing bathroom makes it one big men's room, and then the other building has the new women's room.

The two applications I looked at combined are 57 pages long, I breezed through it and saw no dates, and seems to be focused mostly on all the ground, water table and drainage work that must be completed. The site plans and renderings all tie to the ground preparation work.

There should be more permits filed to commence work and that will give a better idea on dates. While it would be great to move the girls out of MK sooner than later, my guess would be this will tie closely with the opening of the ride.
