Frozen meal baby shower

I am co-hosting a frozen meal/diaper shower for my sister in law. I am having a hard time with creating a cute invitation. Any ideas for how to word it. Cute poem? She is due with baby #4. Thanks!!!

I would try to have a list of possible foods people can choose...so you won't end up with 25 lasagnes.

Very cute, but i believe the OP meant frozen meals as in please bring a meal that can go in the freezer for Mom to pop out and warm at a different time.

I'm no help with poem's but we did this for a co-worker last year and we called it a "Stork the Freezer" party

Even though I knew the OP was talking about frozen meals, the first thing that popped into my head was doing a Frozen themed frozen meal party. It's timely and you could certainly get a lot of party supplies with the Frozen theme, including (probably) invitations.

I agree. I think playing off Frozen movie is a great idea. Not sure about wording for invites.

I also like having a menu for people to sign up for. The other thing to think about would be where to store all the frozen meals IF the meals are coming to the baby shower.

When I've done these types of showers, the invitation listed any food aversions/allergies and just asked everyone to include a meal menu in the card. That way the new mother could choose when she would like a meal and didn't have to store them. Sometimes there are complications or you just don't feel like company at a a certain time. Or maybe they have family to help for a week and then need help. The mother would call and ask for the meal, giving a couple of days notice. These were all for neighbors so we lived close-by. This idea wouldn't work if the attendees/mother to be didn't live near each other.

Thanks for the cute ideas! I should have known better with this being the Disboards to clarify frozen foods vs. the movie LOL. Yes, it is for freezer meals! Keep the ideas coming, they are all great!!

DH and I have 4 kids...I know how grateful I was when people brought over food...especially with the 4th one. Here's what I came up with....feel free to change it around...

Love may make the world go around
But it doesn’t make a stew
When it comes to cooking
______’s got way too much to do!

Baby number Four?
Who knows how she feels?
Exhausted, that how....
Let’s help her with meals!

Something for dinner

I think this sounds like a great idea! Here's what I would wonder about...as the gift giver, am I supposed to bring the frozen meal to the shower, or am I supposed to deliver a ready to heat and serve meal on a given day? If I'm supposed to bring the frozen meal ahead of time, I hoep that someone has made sure that the mom-to be has plenty of room in her freezer (I know mine is almost always full, I'd be in trouble if I was on the receiving end of this). Make sure people know what you want from them...
