Does anyone know of inside the magic.net and how accurate this information is? This video of the construction was just posted a few hours ago, and it says opening in spring...Wondering if anybody knows anything further because last I heard it was summer 2016.

I know lots of people are upset about this ride, I just know my DD would love it, and it would be so wonderful for her to experience it while we are there this year. ♡

Hmm, same here... that's why this confused me a little bit.. So I was just wondering if anyone else heard anything mentioning a spring time opening.. I'm not sure how reputable the website is either.. just started seeing it posted everywhere. And it had me curiouser and curiouser...:ccat:

I've heard that has been pushed back to late May early June due to delays.

Yea.... that would make sense... and if those pictures are that recent it looks more like a huge mess more than anything ready to open in 2/3 months. :scared:

I've seen May 20th and June 1st being thrown around as opening days. Who knows at this point!

We are going in July and I know my daughter would love to ride it, too.

I'm definitely disappointed this may not be open for our trip the end of April. It surprises me, especially since Maelstrom closed awhile ago and now Soarin is closed till Summer. There are very few Tier 1 attractions to begin with in Epcot, and with two major attractions not in service kinda stinks. We love Epcot regardless but now I feel getting on Test Track more than once might be impossible. Looking forward to future updates on this topic.

It was never really supposed to be opened in April.

May 20th, June 1st, or even April, it's still SPRING. Summer Solstice is on June 20th. Meteorological Summer however does begin on June 1st. Technically both could be correct. Opening in the Spring AND Summer. :)

I would like to know, when this IS opened, what time will the ride be open? 9 am at park opening or 11 am? What will be a good strategy for getting ahead of the RD crowds? IG entrance? Akershus breakfast?

Here's hoping for a passholder preview in late April...DD7 would be ecstatic!

As a rule of thumb when something (doesn't matter the product) is announced for Spring assume June. If they Summer, assume September etc. Calendars generally go by astronomical seasons so companies will take full advantage of that to not be "late".

Looked at the video and it seems as though external construction is nearing completion. Just cladding left with the internal scenery and animatronics being designed and created elsewhere and the fact that internal construction is also ongoing 5 months doesn't seem too optimistic to believe this will open on or prior to may 1st.

But with the closure of soaring they may well put all hands to the pump to get this open ASAP. I wouldn't be surprised to see this attraction open for the busy Easter/Spring Break period. But this is Disney and they seemingly can drag construction out.

I would say you can get away with saying "Spring" until the end of May...if opening is delayed to June - that is "summer". Regardless of Solstice dates IMO, Dec-Feb = Winter, Mar-May=Spring, June-Aug=Summer, Sept-Nov= Fall.

Regardless - it needs to be fully functioning to open. Opening early and have it not work isn't worth it.

But again, official date of summer is not till end of June. You can get away with saying Spring till June 19th

OK - I'll bite - what "advantage" does Disney get by saying Spring instead of Summer or even "sometime this year".

I decided to see what Disney is "Officially" saying - what's it says on their website. I searched all over for "Frozen" and "Norway" and the only thing I can find is the posts on the Disney Blog - which all state "coming in 2016". Nothing says Spring. OR even Summer.

The May date as I recall came out of D23 last August, but again I don't think it was "it will be ready by" more an "expected by" date. Since then it's just been the rumor mill churning different dates around

Realistically - Disney probably won't give a date until a month or so before the opening.
