I'm getting conflicting information about the FASTPASS for Frozen at the Hyperion. I want to know if anyone has been able to get one in the past couple of days.

Touringplans used to allow me to put the Frozen FASTPASS into the plan and now they're saying the FASTPASS is permanently closed. I sent an email to TP websupport and after a couple of days of research they said their Disneyland expert said it is closed.

However, when I called DL the CM said the FASTPASS booth is is still open. Would love to hear from someone who's been there the past couple of days.

They stopped using FP for Frozen a couple weeks ago.

Oh no ... was hoping to go early and grab one (since we're staying onsite). Anyone done the Lunch package with special seating? It's pricey at US$89 per adult and US$59 per child ... but I don't want to wait an hour and a half in line either :(

Sorry to jump on your thread, but I am wondering if you really have to wait an hour and a half to catch the show? Would a family of three be able to find seats if we got there 45 minutes before the show?

There used to be 3 different lunch packages, now there is just one package. There also was a non lunch package that just gave us priority seating and some snacks but that is gone too. I used the non lunch package a few months ago.

I'd say that without fast passes available you should get there as early as possible. The only good thing is that there really are no bad seats and the majority of people are in same boat.

We were there that time because got time wrong by half hour was meant to be an hour lol but it was very busy and the queues were very long and that was on a Thursday

You do not half to wait an hour to get into the show, but they do open the line over an hour before the show. If you want the best seats, you need to get in line when it opens. If you just want to get in, you do not have to be there when it opens. If you are able to get in line, you will get into the show. Having the fastpass was no better - you still had to wait just as long.

Went to the 5:30 pm show yesterday. It wasn't crowded, and there were still a fair number of seats in the front when the show started.

I would say the need to line up early depends on the crowd level. We went on a Thursday 1.5 weeks ago and lined up only about 35 minutes early. We got awesome seats in the mezzanine. When we first arrived, there were lots of people sitting on the ground, kids playing card games. When it got a bit closer to show time, they came around and asked everyone to stand. The biggest thing I was surprised about is there being no bathrooms in the theater.

I, too, think the crowd level must play a huge role in this. I knocked Frozen off our list because I wasn't willing to stand in the heat for 1-1.5 hours for it. We were there last Tuesday, just happened to walk past 30 minutes before the show started, and they hadn't even opened balcony seating yet - we had choice of mezzanine or orchestra. Jumped into orchestra, were let in not long after that, and had our choice in seats.

It never filled - there was PLENTY of seats and people walking in just a minute before the show.

My biggest disappointment was the show stopped three times - with 5-10 minutes in between each (lots of people started leaving on the last stop) - and that I didn't have any cash on me to buy a soda :rotfl:(they don't take cards or room charges).

So check the crowd levels and don't burn so much park time waiting if it's not necessary.

I agree with everyone else that this is really overall crowd level and and seat preference dependent. I walked into the line for yesterday's 3:30 show at 3:20, and when I got to the balcony there were still rows and rows of empty seats waiting to be filled. And for what it's worth, I thought sitting in the balcony was great! I liked getting the wide view on the projection effects, and there were only a handful of moments when action happened on the floor in front of the stage when I had to lean forward to see.

May be with FP required, people thinks of it as something special else why it is being limited.
( i know there a SB line when FP are issued)
Without FP, it becomes like any ordinary shows... and therefore draws less crowds.

Nevertheless, I am rescheduling my Frozen show from Sat 3-Dec to the weekdays. Thanks for the hints.
