Getting so excited. 1 more month to go before we are down in DL. I just read the mouseplanet explanation of the new interactive game in frontier land. Sounds so fun. We will be in the park for 8 days and our plan is do everything in both parks this time. Including playing hidden mickey app game. I just told my 14 year old Daughter about the interactive game and she was so excited. Has anyone played it this week, what do you think, best time of day to do it, etc. From what I have read it takes several hours to get to do many of the activities. I don't think time will be a prob. Almost thinking of doing it our first day (we will arrive that day at noon, morning flight) and then finish the night off with bbq at the Big Thunder Ranch. Thoughts?

A friend and I played on Saturday for the first time. It was a little unorganized and it was difficult figuring out what you were supposed to be doing, but once we got into the swing of things it was a ton of fun! There are still some kinks that need to be worked out (signage and better explanations...) but it's definitely worth checking out. #myrainbowridge

We played on average 3 hours a day July 10. 11. 12 and about an hour on the 13th. The game is SOOOO much fun. as long as you are willing to really get into it! We were there 9 days so time was not an issue for us either. I was elected mayor of frontier land and purchased the golden horse shoe the first day we played. Had to repurchase the horse shoe on our third day of play as the nasty rainbow ridge varmints bought it the 2nd day we played and the buildings can only be bought once a day. Made wanted posters, apprehended criminals, got thrown in jail, played high card, made posters at the welcome center, did several "rive water" challenges, got taken onto stage of the horse shoe a couple of times, sent and delivered telegraphs, earned and spent well over 3000 bits, and overall had a blast! The game continues to evolve every day and new elements are rolled out. On the day we left just as we were leaving FL they announce there was gold buried in FL, and I was so sad I couldn't stay to look for it!

I think your plan is good in that you will work up an appetite playing the game so you will enjoy BTB when you are done playing. We ate there twice last week.

If you do play tell all the CM's (they are all entertainment CMs and are fabulous) that Slue Foot Sue sent you, I doubt they will ever forget me. LOL

We had so much fun we are trying to get a room to come back Labor Day weekend just to play a few more days as that is the scheduled end date. I'm even willing to stay off site (all DL hotels are full) to go do this again and I haven't stayed off site since the early 1970's, so you know I loved playing!!!!

LOL, what a small world! I remember Rowdy Rebecca, tell her I say howdy! There were so many fun people playing...and I ended up explaining the game to Jason Earls from Hanna Montana on one of the days we played. I just wish the entire game was up and running when we were there. There are many more twists and turns to come! Hoping to find a hotel for Labor Day weekend-trying hard! Hey since I own the GHS maybe they'll let me stay there. LOL

I was there for an hour today...my biggest suggestion is to not try to start right at 11, when it "opens" as it was very slow getting started. Couple that with so e CMs who were on their first day with it and I almost left but finally got it figured out. Much more was going on even at 1115 and by 1130 it was busy!

Wow, awesome, thank you. I know my girls will love it, a great way to start a long week at the park. It reminds me of when I was in 8th grade and we played the stock market interactive game in our classrooms. We loved getting to act it all out. My girls still love to do make believe games even as they are now in middle school and high school. We often have a bunch of girls in the back yard playing hunger games.

This sounds neat! Does anybody have a link to more info?

The Mouseplanet and Miceage reviews are pretty good to get a broad idea of what goes on. There really isn't much info on line about it. I, along with others, was interviewed by Disney Blogs last weekend so they must be planning on putting some additional info out soon.

The only drawback that I found is that no one knows when a new element to the game is coming, not even the CMs, so there is some confusion on everyone's part. I guess they want to keep surprises coming without notice. I know there is an elixir cart coming soon that will help players get additional something, but not sure what. There will eventually be some sort of talent agency in the GHS. The game is said to be spreading out further and will take in more aspects of FL as it progresses. There will also be levels players can achieve, becoming a legend being the top level. No one knows how one will achieve this or when the info will be shared on this. There is said to be some sort of ceremony that will take place on occasion to recognize players that reach legend status. The game creators are there watching, and maybe they are calling the shots as to when new elements are revealed. I know this as I arrested one last week-it's a long story-but the CMs made an innocent error in what they were telling guests so he had to reveal his title to correct the issue.

I was told the game is only scheduled to run through Labor Day weekend, but many of the CMs are hoping it will be extended. And I am too!

Have fun if you play!

Lots of guests playing today and filming going on as well. Frankly, it is just more than I want to deal with on vacation and I am not interested.

We did this last summer when Disney was testing it out for the first time. My family didn't really get into it, but I did and it was fun for me. I think it would be way more fun if your entire group was into it.

The piano player found out my DS played piano so asked him to take over, then left to get a drink from the bar.
