Frontier Airlines

Memphis just got Frontier and I'm interested to know if it's any good. DH and I normally drive the 4 hours to Nashville to catch Southwest. We'd much rather stay and just drive 30 minutes to Memphis if Frontier is decent. Their prices are.

I've only flown Frontier from Indianapolis to Las Vegas but I really liked them. The seats are comfortable and have little DirectTV screens in the seatback ahead of you. I thought the employees were great. Frontier partners with AirTran so that I believe the flyer miles are interchangeable.

Frontier just cancelled all flights out of Memphis to Orlando effective in
Jan 08.
Unfortunately, we have 8 tickets for March. I have been on the phone today and supposedly they are getting on us another carrier. We just have to wait on them. I asked for my money back, NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Try Northwest, they have nonstop flights from Mphs. And we have never had a problem with them....why did we try something different this time!!!

I'll tell you why you tried something different! Because Frontier coming in with their non-stop service to Orlando drove the price of Northwest's tickets down, and you probably got a great deal! We flew for $144 apiece nonstop on Frontier last month. Until they came in, NWA always charged at least $216!

I am SUPER peeved that Frontier is going to stop offering service from MEM to MCO, because now Northwest will go right back to charging the exorbitant high prices they used to. When we heard the announcement that Frontier was leaving, DH looked at me and said, "Well, crap. I guess we're going to have to start driving back to Nashville to fly to Orlando again. That sucks."

Not only that, but we're losing the flight to Las Vegas, too.
