We are planning a Universal/Seaworld/DC trip in February. We will be there 2/12 - 2/19, which is Tuesday - Tuesday spanning President's Day weekend. I'm trying to determine what corwd levels might be like and whether front of the line access will make a big difference. If so, I'm considering staying 2 -3 nights at RPH in order to be able to take advantage of it. If not, we'll likely stay at a condo the entire week.

We went to Universal on the 9th of February this year for the day. We didn't pay for FOTLA and once we arrived we were glad that we hadn't. The parks were SO quite it would have been a waste of money. All the rides were a walk on all day.The only busier area was the Harry Potter and even those rides had 5-10 minute wait. The most we waited was 10 minutes for the Men in Black ride.

We arrived by 8:15am, grabbed coffee from Starbucks and were waiting at the gates by 8:40am. We were let in about 8:50am and there wasn't a huge crowd waiting.

As long as you stay away from the weekend, you should be fine w/o Express.

Thanks. We are planning on allocating Wednesday - Friday for US/IOA, so hopefully crowds will be low.
